On November 19, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Secretariat's decision on personnel work.

At the conference, the representative of the Central Organizing Committee announced the decision to mobilize and appoint key personnel of Khanh Hoa province.

Accordingly, Mr. Tran Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province - was mobilized and appointed by the Secretariat to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

Mr. Tran Phong (50 years old, hometown Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province), graduated from university with a major in general business administration.

Mr. Tran Phong's work process

Mr. Tran Phong started working in 1997 at Quang Binh Mountainous Trading Company Branch.

From August 1999 to December 2002, he held the positions of officer, deputy manager and then head of import-export business department at Quang Binh Mountainous Trading Company.

From January 2003 to November 2003, he held the position of deputy director of the company. Then he transferred to the Inspection Committee of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, held the positions of specialist, Head of Department II, and was elected as a member of the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

From October 2011 to July 2014, he was a member of the District Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bo Trach District. From August 2014 to September 2016, he held the position of Deputy Head, then Permanent Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, concurrently a member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee and Secretary of the agency's Party Cell.

From October 2016 to June 2020, Mr. Tran Phong served as Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Binh province, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee of the Provincial Agencies.

In July 2020, he was elected Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province. From December 2020 to December 2024, he was a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Dong Hoi City Party Committee.

From December 2024 to June 2025, he was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province.

From July 1, 2025, Mr. Tran Phong was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province (new), term 2021-2026.
