Park Sungwoong, actress Moon So Ri, and director Jang Joon-hwan are the representatives of Korean cinema attending this year's Da Nang Asian Film Festival. In addition, Idol Nation, a young and rising female Tiktoker, will play a role in the film "Flip Side 8: Vong Tay Nang" by director Ly Hai.
Attending the 2025 Da Nang Asian Film Festival for the first time, Park Sungwoong commented that everything was great and very well prepared, although this was only the third time the Film Festival was held. He believes that in the future, DANAFF will be a big event in Asian cinema.

Believing that the Da Nang Asian Film Festival is helping filmmakers have more and more space for Asian cinema to exchange, Park Sungwoong hopes that there will be more film festivals like DANAFF.
“Just as Korean films and dramas are not only limited to Asia but also spread throughout the world , I hope that film festivals in Asia, including DANAFF, can also become a springboard for films from Asian countries to reach out globally,” he shared.
Park Sungwoong also believes that if Vietnamese and Korean cinema exchange and cooperate, it will create a better resonance effect and compensate for each other's weaknesses.
Park Sungwoong also confided that he is willing to participate in a film project in cooperation with Vietnam. “I have not had the opportunity to learn deeply about Vietnamese cinema, but I feel their passion and sincerity. If there is a role suitable for me, I am very willing to participate. I heard that horror films are very popular in Vietnam, if I participate in a project, maybe just standing still is enough to become a horror film…”, the Korean actor joked.
He also shared about his film career, his roles, and the reasons why Korean cinema has developed as it is today. According to him, what makes Korean films and television dramas so attractive to international audiences is the diverse plots, directing skills, and acting of the actors. He himself has been acting for 28 years, but still finds the younger generation of actors to be very excellent. Even he still has to learn a lot about acting.
In his film career, Park Sungwoong is famous for his villainous roles, many of which have become iconic in Korean cinema. The actor said that when acting, he does not think that he is playing a villain, but always tells himself that it may be due to circumstances that they become that way.
Park Sungwoong and The Nation interacted with BHD Vice President Ngo Thi Bich Hanh and artist Chieu Xuan.
Throughout his 28-year career, Park Sungwoong has been motivated by the emotions of not only the audience, but also those around him. He believes that moving the audience is natural, but moving the staff, assistant directors, and directors is the hardest part. He always sets his goal in acting as creating scenes that leave everyone in awe on set.
Of all the roles he has played so far, Park Sungwoong remembers two roles the most. One is the role in the TV series “The Four Gods”, the role that helped him gain fame after 10 years of obscurity. The other role is in the movie “New World”, the movie that made Park Sungwoong famous as he is today. Both of these movies have profound meanings in different ways. In addition, he also treasures “Inner Grandpa” and “Woongnami” - two movies that are very popular with Vietnamese audiences.
Talking about Vietnamese cinema, Park Sungwoong believes that Vietnamese cinema is entering its golden age. “I often look into the eyes of actors when acting, because the eyes express emotions from the heart. I find that Vietnamese actors act very sincerely, creating a feeling of being drawn in. If this continues, I think Vietnam will become an “Asian tiger” in the film industry,” Park Sungwoong said.
