International media impressed with Vietnam National Day Celebration

The celebration, parade and march on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd were solemnly held at Ba Dinh Square and several streets of Hanoi, attracting great attention from the international media.

Immediately after the celebration ended, many major Swiss news sites published articles praising Vietnam’s achievements over the past 80 years. Titled “Vietnam celebrates 80 years of independence with large-scale parade”, the article on SwissInfo emphasized that the parade and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day not only demonstrated military strength, but also demonstrated the heroic journey of building and defending the country through countless challenges. The article also expressed its impression of many Vietnamese people camping overnight on the streets to ensure a good seat to watch the celebration.

In the article on the Linth-Zeitung website, the author mentioned Ba Dinh Square, the historical site where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam 80 years ago. Many models of modern weapons and military equipment appeared in the parade, including advanced missile technology, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored vehicles, electronic warfare vehicles...

Meanwhile, Kommersant published an article titled “Vietnam celebrates 80th Independence Day with a huge military parade”, stating that this was the biggest military parade in decades. The streets of Hanoi were filled with people carrying flags, most of them wearing red shirts. The parade displayed the latest military hardware.

★ On the morning of September 2, the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos organized a live broadcast of the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day. At the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Party Committee in Cambodia organized an online viewing of the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, looking towards the capital Hanoi, witnessing the emotional, heroic and proud moments of the Vietnamese people.

Also on the morning of September 2, overseas Vietnamese living, studying and working in Japan watched the 80th Anniversary of Vietnam National Day live on large television screens.

On September 2, the Vietnamese Embassy in China coordinated with the Vietnamese community in Beijing to organize a rally to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
