Tax Department and Agribank cooperate to support business households to convert to tax declaration

On the afternoon of December 3, at the Head Office, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank) and the Tax Department (Ministry of Finance) held a signing ceremony of cooperation to support business households in converting from lump-sum tax to declared tax. Co-chairing the signing ceremony were Deputy Director of the Tax Department Mai Son and Mr. To Huy Vu - Chairman of the Board of Members.

The cooperation agreement is an agreement on goals, responsibilities and strategic vision between Agribank and the tax sector in modernizing national finance.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. To Huy Vu - Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank emphasized that the event has strategic significance, not only for the two agencies but also for the common goal of the financial sector in the process of reform, modernization and serving people and businesses better and better.

“In the context that the financial sector is making efforts to implement the policies of the Party, the National Assembly and the Government on promoting national digital transformation, reforming administrative procedures, modernizing tax management, expanding non-cash payments and ensuring sustainable budget revenue, the cooperation between Agribank and the Tax Department has practical significance. This is not only an inevitable trend, but also a strategic task, requiring the joint efforts and consensus of all organizations in the financial and banking ecosystem,” said Mr. To Huy Vu.

Leaders of the two agencies highly appreciated the close coordination in state budget collection.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Director of the Tax Department Mai Son highly appreciated the close coordination between the two agencies in the past time, as well as the important contributions of Agribank in the work of collecting State budget. In particular, the technological solutions that Agribank developed and deployed have effectively supported the interconnection process between finance-tax-customs-treasury and the commercial banking system.

Deputy Director Mai Son expressed his wish to continue receiving close cooperation from Agribank in particular, as well as from commercial banks, technology solution providers and payment intermediary organizations in general. These partners will continue to be the "companions, extended arms" of the tax authority in implementing the goals of reforming and modernizing tax administration.

“In line with the 60-day peak campaign to support business households in converting to tax declaration by the tax sector with the goal of providing maximum support to the household and individual business sector, it can be seen that the technology solution package of Agribank in collaboration with VNPAY for business households including electronic invoices, digital signatures, sales software, cloud storage and payment integration is a significant step forward, creating a closed process from sales to tax declaration and payment, thereby contributing to reducing compliance costs, improving transparency, ensuring state budget revenue and promoting the private economic sector to develop healthily, sustainably, in line with the orientation of the Central Government, the Government and the Ministry of Finance ”, Deputy Director Mai Son shared.

At the signing ceremony, representatives of the Tax Department and Agribank affirmed that this is a key political task and demonstrates high determination in coordination and implementation, which will create substantial changes right from the grassroots level, thereby effectively implementing the campaign to support business households in converting to tax declaration.

Agribank cooperated with VNPAY to provide a set of digital transformation and digital payment solutions, with the desire to bring a comprehensive, low-cost but highly effective solution set, helping business households confidently and conveniently enter the digital transformation roadmap.

Agribank affirmed that this support does not only stop at providing preferential financial policies but also includes technological solutions such as electronic invoice software, digital signatures, sales management software, electronic invoice transmission and reception services, electronic invoice storage on the Cloud... and digital payment methods such as payment via POS machines, POS emulation software (PhonePOS), QR codes... thereby improving transparency and efficiency for business people.
