PetroVietnam appoints Director of Southern Representative Office

Mr. Bui Van Thuan - General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Branch, Phu Quoc Petroleum Operating Company (PQPOC) has just been appointed as Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Representative Office in the South.

PetroVietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son presented the decision to appoint Director of PetroVietnam Representative Office in the South to Mr. Bui Van Thuan.

On July 26, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) held a ceremony to announce and award the decision to appoint the Director of the Group's Representative Office in the South.

Attending the announcement and awarding ceremony of the appointment decision were Mr. Le Ngoc Son - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of the Group; Mr. Tran Binh Minh - Member of the Board of Members; representatives of the leaders of the specialized departments/Group Office; leaders of SWPOC, PQPOC units; and all officers and employees of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Representative Office in the South.

At the ceremony, Mr. Phan Anh Minh - Head of the Group's Human Resources Management Board announced the decision of the Group's General Director on the temporary appointment of Mr. Bui Van Thuan - General Director of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Branch - Phu Quoc Petroleum Operating Company (PQPOC) to hold the position of Director of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Representative Office in the South. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.

On behalf of the Group's leadership, Mr. Le Ngoc Son - General Director of PetroVietnam presented the decision and congratulated Mr. Bui Van Thuan and the leadership, officers and employees of the Group's Representative Office in the South.

General Director Le Ngoc Son and Mr. Tran Binh Minh, Member of the Board of Directors of PetroVietnam presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Bui Van Thuan.

PetroVietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son highly appreciated the management and operation capacity of Mr. Bui Van Thuan, expressing his belief that the new Director and the Group's Representative Office will promote their capacity and responsibility, best fulfill the assigned tasks, develop the Representative Office commensurate with its position and role as an extended arm of the Group in the Southern region, and actively contribute to the overall development of the Group.

Speaking on accepting the assignment, Mr. Bui Van Thuan thanked the Group's leaders for entrusting him with the important responsibility and hoped that in his new position he would continue to receive support from the Board of Directors and the Group's departments/offices.

PQPOC's leadership and staff presented flowers to congratulate the new Director of the Group's Representative Office in the South.

Mr. Bui Van Thuan pledged to make every effort, promote the spirit of solidarity, and work with the staff of the Group's Representative Office in the South to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

At the ceremony, the Head of the Organization and Human Resources Management Department of the Group also announced the decision of the Group's Board of Members, assigning Mr. Pham Xuan Phuc - Deputy General Director of Phu Quoc Petroleum Operating Company to be in charge of operating the Company, during the time of completing the position of General Director of PQPOC.
