Special issue of stamp set "Commemorating 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (1925–2025)"

June 21, 2025, marks the 100th anniversary of the birth and development of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press. A century has passed since the historic moment when Thanh Nien Newspaper, the first newspaper and an important seed of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, was founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc on June 21, 1925 in Guangzhou (China). From those first passionate pages, the flame of revolution was lit, illuminating the way for national liberation.

Over the past 100 years, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has been resilient, persistent and courageous, accompanying the Vietnamese people on every difficult but also very heroic historical journey. The journalists - soldiers have not feared danger, using their pens as sharp weapons to awaken and encourage the masses to rise up, the press has become the true voice of the Party and the People.

In order to honor revolutionary journalists - steadfast soldiers on the ideological and cultural front, and at the same time express gratitude for the great contributions of the press to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, on June 19, 2025, the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Journalists Association , and the Vietnam Post Corporation jointly organized the special issuance ceremony of the postage stamp set "Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (1925-2025)".

The stamp set includes 01 stamp, designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation) using elaborate graphic methods, bearing a strong historical mark. The overall stamp design shows a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, honoring the role of revolutionary journalism through the ages, while expressing the expectations and future of the dynamic and modern Vietnamese revolutionary journalism in the new period.

The stamp has a vivid layout, bright colors, and strong symbolism. The central image of the stamp is the red flag with a yellow star - the sacred symbol of the Fatherland, with the words "1925-2025" in yellow standing out on a red background, representing the 100-year milestone of the formation and development of Vietnam's revolutionary press. On the left is the image of Nguyen Ai Quoc - the founder of our country's revolutionary press, with a portrait drawn in a traditional style, showing respect and remembrance of his contributions. The image of Nguyen Ai Quoc is associated with the newspaper "Thanh Nien" - the first mouthpiece of the Vietnamese revolution, marking the official birth of the revolutionary press on June 21, 1925. Next is the image of the newspaper "Nhan Dan" and the "Tap Chi Cong San", the major newspapers of the Party, shown as if they were opening - symbolizing the flow of revolutionary information constantly spreading to all classes of people. The background image features binary digits 0 and 1, representing the trend of digital transformation, multi-platform journalism and modernization, emphasizing the strong development of journalism in the digital age.

The issuance of the postage stamp set “Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (1925 - 2025)” is a practical activity with profound political and cultural significance to honor the century-long journey of formation and development of Vietnam's revolutionary press - an inseparable part of the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; and to deeply express gratitude to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, who gave birth to Vietnam's revolutionary press, along with generations of revolutionary journalists who have continuously devoted themselves, fought and sacrificed for the revolutionary cause, for national independence and the happiness of the people.
