Vietnam Post appoints Head of Inspection and Legal Department

On June 17, 2025, Vietnam Post held a conference to deploy personnel work and appoint the Head of the Inspection and Legal Department.

Accordingly, Vietnam Post Corporation decided to temporarily appoint Mr. Vu Van Cuong, Deputy Head of the Inspection and Legal Department, to hold the position of Head of the Inspection and Legal Department. The decision takes effect from June 12, 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Chu Quang Hao, General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation, congratulated Mr. Vu Van Cuong on his appointment to the new position; at the same time, he expressed his expectation that the new Head of the Inspection and Legal Department will continue to promote his experience, professional capacity and sense of responsibility, contributing to improving the effectiveness of inspection and legal work in the entire system.

The General Director requested the Inspection - Legal Department, the Board's leaders and Mr. Vu Van Cuong himself to focus on innovation according to 5 strategic directions.

The first is to innovate the inspection mindset - from inspection for processing to inspection for creation, shifting from the mindset of "detection - processing" to "forecasting - prevention - accompanying". Each inspection activity needs to be carried out with the spirit of helping the system and network to identify errors early, make timely adjustments, protect the right and promote the new; build an effective and synchronous inspection - supervision system from the Corporation to its affiliated units, ensuring that activities always comply with the law and internal regulations.

2. Apply technology, digitize inspection processes, standardize the form system and build early risk warning mechanisms, become a legal advisory unit with vision, helping organizations act within the legal framework but not be constrained by it. Proactively review, update and advise on perfecting the system of regulations, processes, contracts, agreements... in a clear, strict direction, preventing legal risks from the beginning.

3. Promote the courage, ethics and responsibility of inspectors and legal staff. Inspection is a profession of “keeping standards”. Inspectors must be upright, honest, fair and courageous. They must be steadfast in the face of mistakes, but must also listen and understand practical difficulties to guide, support and resolve them – not just judge. Build a team of legal staff who have a deep understanding of the law so that they can participate from the beginning in projects and cooperation activities with the Corporation’s partners.

4. Fostering a spirit of solidarity and unity in performing tasks from top to bottom: Inspection and legality cannot be effective if the unit is isolated or far from reality. The Board must build the image of a "companion for development", not someone who comes just to scrutinize or handle. Must coordinate closely with departments, creating a responsible, disciplined working environment that is still full of cooperation and humanity. Strengthen training, communication, and internal legal advice to raise awareness and build a culture of compliance throughout the network.

Finally, build a culture of legality and inspection as an organizational value, aiming for a system where the law is a standard of conduct and inspection is a protection mechanism, not a barrier to development. Build an internal culture that values ​​compliance, transparency and doing the right thing from the start. Then, inspection is no longer "following behind to correct mistakes" but "going ahead to lead the way".

Speaking on accepting the assignment, Comrade Vu Van Cuong sincerely thanked the trust of the Corporation's leaders, and affirmed that this is a great honor associated with great responsibility. He pledged to continuously strive to train and improve management capacity, closely coordinate with the Inspection and Legal Department to maintain the spirit of solidarity, focus on completing assigned tasks well, and contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam Post.
