Pham Nguyen Minh Quang - Excellent team leader won the Kim Dong award

DTO - The Kim Dong Award is a noble award of the Central Youth Union, given annually to young team members and team leaders with outstanding achievements in the work of the Team and the children's movement. In the 2023-2024 school year, Pham Nguyen Minh Quang - a student of class 9/2, Team Leader of Lap Vo Town Secondary School (Lap Vo District) was honored to be one of two outstanding children in Dong Thap province to receive the Kim Dong Award.

For 9 consecutive years, Minh Quang has achieved excellent results in studying and training, is a "core" member of the Physics Excellent Student Team of the school and has won many high prizes in district and provincial excellent student competitions; participated and won the Science and Technology Innovation Competition and STEM Festival at the district level; Provincial Youth and Children's Creativity Competition in 2023. In addition, Minh Quang is also an exemplary, enthusiastic and dynamic Team Leader in Team activities and children's movements of Lap Vo Town Secondary School. Along with that, Minh Quang enthusiastically supports and helps to tutor weak students in Chemistry in grade 9; proposed to establish a "Green Team" to periodically clean up trash in public areas in Lap Vo town, mobilize team members in the Team to participate in the "Small Plan" movement to raise awareness of environmental protection among team members and students.

Being active and creative in participating in movements and activities of the Team helps Pham Nguyen Minh Quang achieve many outstanding achievements such as: the title of Excellent Team Commander at the provincial level in 2023; excellent propagandist at the Festival of Young Propaganda Teams on Drowning Prevention and Control in the province in 2022; delegate of the National Children's Forum in 2023 and Outstanding Children of the Year at the National level in 2023. Minh Quang shared: "Participating in movements and activities of the Team is an opportunity for me to experience, get to know many new friends, learn more knowledge, useful life skills and become more confident and mature. I will try every day to improve myself, worthy of the award given".

Mr. Le Thanh Hung - Team leader of Lap Vo Town Secondary School, said: “Pham Nguyen Minh Quang is an exemplary Team Leader, with many positive contributions to the Team activities and children's movements of the Lap Vo Town Secondary School Team. Minh Quang is not only exemplary but also actively takes the lead in movements, has many ideas, proposes good models, and creative new ways of doing things. Thereby, contributing to creating a spreading force, motivating students and team members to actively participate in activities and movements organized by the school and the higher-level Team Council, contributing to the Lap Vo Town Secondary School Team achieving excellent achievements in Team work and children's movements, which were commended and rewarded by the Provincial Team Council”.
