The contest is organized nationwide by the Central Center for Health Communication and Education in coordination with the Tobacco Harm Prevention Fund.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health, emphasized that the competition to create communication products on a smoke-free environment is a meaningful communication initiative, demonstrating innovation in the approach and way of conveying health messages to the community.
The contest is not only a playground for medical staff at provincial Centers for Disease Control, but also a place to gather creative communication ideas and strong messages, contributing to raising public awareness and promoting positive behavior in preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco.
According to the report results after 10 years of implementing regulations on smoke-free environments, the rate of exposure to secondhand smoke has decreased significantly in most public places, of which in medical facilities it has decreased from 23.6% (in 2010) to 21.3% (in 2023).
According to the Organizing Committee, each unit/individual can submit multiple works. Products created by AI are not allowed to participate in the contest.
