Representatives from VietKings presented the Vietnam Record Certificate to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PV GAS, and Mr. Pham Van Phong, General Director of PV GAS.

These three projects, these three symbols of the pioneering journey and leadership of the gas industry, are:

Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant: This plant has the largest gas processing capacity in Vietnam (since 2013, its maximum capacity has reached 22 million m³ of gas per day, equivalent to approximately 8.0 billion m³ of gas per year).

The Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline: The longest two-phase pipeline transporting natural gas and condensate, with the largest gas transport capacity in Vietnam (the pipeline has a diameter of 26 inches, a total length of 371.09 km, including onshore and offshore sections, with a maximum transport capacity of 23.2 million m³ of gas per day).

The unit is responsible for operating the Thi Vai LNG terminal - the first liquefied natural gas terminal in Vietnam (since 2023).

The certificates were officially established by the World Records Alliance – Vietnam Central Association of Record Holders on August 28, 2025, under the certification of lawyer Nguyen Van Vien, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Intellectual Property, and Professor, Academician Hoang Quang Thuan, Chairman of the Founding Council of the Vietnam Records Organization.

The achievement of this record demonstrates the stature of PV GAS in its 35-year journey of developing Vietnam's gas industry, and also proves the pioneering spirit, outstanding capabilities, and aspiration to conquer technological heights of the PV GAS workforce.

Among these projects, the Thi Vai LNG Terminal is of particular significance, marking a turning point as Vietnam officially enters the era of using clean LNG fuel. Construction of the Thi Vai LNG Terminal began in 2019 by PV GAS and officially commenced operations in 2023. It is Vietnam's first, largest, and most modern "historic" LNG terminal, with a berth capable of receiving LNG carriers up to 100,000 DWT; storage tanks with a capacity of 180,000 m³, achieving an average throughput of 1 million tons of LNG per year, with phase 2 expected to increase capacity to 3 million tons of LNG per year.

The Nam Con Son gas pipeline, construction of which began in 2001 and was completed in 18 months, is a two-phase pipeline with a total length of 371.09 km, including both onshore and offshore sections, with a diameter of 26 inches. It has a gas transport capacity of up to 23.2 million m³ of gas per day, transporting gas from fields in the Nam Con Son basin to the Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant, where it is processed and supplied to gas consumers in the Southeast region of Vietnam. This is not only the longest and highest-capacity pipeline in Vietnam, but also a symbol of effective cooperation between PV GAS and international partners in the management, operation, and exploitation of this strategic national energy source.

Furthermore, the Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant, with a maximum capacity of 22 million m³ of gas per day, is currently the largest gas processing plant in Vietnam. In 2008, the second gas processing line was added, increasing the plant's capacity to 20 million m³ of gas per day. In 2011, the plant's capacity was further increased to 21 million m³ of gas per day, and by 2013 it reached its current maximum capacity. In July 2017, the second gas receiving point connecting the Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant and the Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant officially came into operation, contributing to improved gas utilization efficiency and system optimization.

Being recognized by VietKings with 3 Vietnamese Records is not only a great honor but also a well-deserved acknowledgment of the continuous efforts of the PV GAS team throughout the years in their journey to conquer clean energy and contribute to the sustainable development of the country.

These three projects, these three iconic landmarks, clearly demonstrate PV GAS's technological mastery, its ambition to reach further, and its unwavering desire for innovation – a leading enterprise in Vietnam's gas and energy sector. Building upon this solid foundation, PV GAS continues to affirm its pioneering mission in its 35-year journey of igniting national spirit, spreading confidence, and building a sustainable future for the country.
