VietKings representative presented the Vietnam Record certificate to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of PV GAS Board of Directors and Mr. Pham Van Phong, General Director of PV GAS
3 projects, 3 symbols for the journey of opening and leading the gas industry are:
Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant: The plant has the largest gas processing capacity in Vietnam (since 2013, the maximum capacity has reached 22 million m³ of gas/day and night, equivalent to about 8.0 billion m³ of gas/year).
Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline: The longest 2-phase pipeline transporting natural gas and condensate liquids, with the largest gas transport capacity in Vietnam (the gas pipeline has a diameter of 26 inches, a total length of 371.09 km, including onshore and offshore sections, with a maximum transport capacity of 23.2 million m³ of gas/day and night).
Unit exploiting and operating LNG Thi Vai Terminal - The first liquefied natural gas terminal in Vietnam (from 2023).
The certificates were officially established by the World Record Union - Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Association on August 28, 2025, under the certification of lawyer Nguyen Van Vien, Director of the Vietnam Intellectual Property Institute and Professor. Academician Hoang Quang Thuan, Chairman of the Founding Council of the Vietnam Record Organization.
The record-setting achievement demonstrates the stature of PV GAS in its 35-year journey of developing the Vietnamese gas industry, and at the same time demonstrates the pioneering spirit, outstanding capacity and aspiration to conquer the pinnacle of technology of PV GAS's workforce.
In particular, LNG Thi Vai Terminal is a project of special significance, marking a turning point that officially brings Vietnam into the era of using clean LNG fuel. Started construction by PV GAS in 2019 and officially put into operation from 2023, LNG Thi Vai Terminal is the first "historic" LNG project, the largest and most modern in Vietnam with a port that can receive LNG carriers with a capacity of up to 100,000 DWT; tanks with a storage capacity of 180,000 m³, reaching an average warehouse capacity of 1 million tons of LNG/year, phase 2 is expected to increase the capacity to 3 million tons of LNG/year.
Nam Con Son gas pipeline was started in 2001 and completed in 18 months. It is a 2-phase pipeline with a total length of 371.09 km, including both onshore and offshore with a diameter of 26 inches, with a gas transport capacity of up to 23.2 million m³ of gas/day and night, carrying gas from mines in the Nam Con Son basin to the Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant, then processed and supplied to gas consumers in the Southeast region. This is not only the longest and largest capacity pipeline in Vietnam, but also a symbol of effective cooperation between PV GAS and international partners in the management, operation and exploitation of national strategic energy resources.
In addition, Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant with a maximum capacity of 22 million m³ of gas per day and night is the largest gas processing plant in Vietnam today. In 2008, gas processing line No. 2 was added, increasing the capacity of the gas processing plant to 20 million m³ of gas per day and night. In 2011, the plant's capacity continued to increase to 21 million m³ of gas per day and night and by 2013 reached the current maximum capacity. In July 2017, the second gas delivery point connecting Nam Con Son Gas Processing Plant and Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant officially came into operation, contributing to improving the efficiency of gas resource use and optimizing the system.
Being recognized by VietKings with 3 Vietnamese Records is not only a great honor but also a worthy recognition for the continuous efforts of the PV GAS team over the years in the journey to conquer clean energy, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
3 projects, 3 symbols are clear evidence of the technological mastery, the courage to reach out and the desire for constant innovation of PV GAS, the leading enterprise in the gas and energy sector in Vietnam. From that solid foundation, PV GAS continues to affirm its pioneering mission in the 35-year journey of lighting up the country, spreading trust and building a sustainable future for the country.
