In Quy Nhon Dong ward ( Gia Lai province), a program providing free medical examinations, health consultations, medication, and welfare gifts was implemented with the participation of highly qualified doctors and medical staff. From early morning, a large number of people, mainly policy beneficiaries, those in difficult circumstances, and households affected by floods, were present to receive medical examinations and health consultations.

As part of the program, military medical personnel organized free medical examinations, health consultations, and provided free medicine to 300 people, focusing on common illnesses that arise after floods, such as respiratory, digestive, and dermatological problems, as well as chronic diseases in the elderly.

Alongside medical examinations and treatment, the task forces also carried out environmental disinfection and treated drinking water sources, contributing to limiting the risk of disease outbreaks amidst the disruption to people's lives. On this occasion, 300 welfare packages, each worth 500,000 VND, were also handed directly to affected households, helping to alleviate difficulties and enable people to gradually stabilize their lives.

According to Colonel Khuat Ba Cao, recent floods have caused severe damage in the province. In response, local authorities and armed forces have proactively assisted the people in overcoming the consequences and gradually rebuilding their lives. As a military unit stationed in the area, the 15th Army Corps always considers serving the people as its central political task, with community health care being a key aspect.

Over the past period, Military Hospital 15 has continuously organized many free medical examination and treatment campaigns for people in disadvantaged areas.

Not only during the post-disaster recovery phase, but units under the 15th Army Corps also actively supported the people during the storm itself. When Typhoon No. 13 directly affected the area, Quy Nhon Guesthouse arranged 20 rooms, coordinating with the People's Committee and the Police of Quy Nhon Dong Ward to provide safe temporary shelter for households in dangerous areas, while also supporting rescue forces. In addition, essential supplies and life jackets were promptly provided, helping people cope during the most difficult times.

After the storms subsided, healthcare services for the people continued to be provided. With a highly specialized medical force, Military Hospital 15 has continuously organized many free medical examination and treatment campaigns in difficult areas.

Prior to the program in Quy Nhon Dong, military medical personnel provided free medical examinations, consultations, and medication to 450 residents of Ia Pnon border commune. This time, medical examination and treatment activities were combined with environmental disinfection and water source treatment to proactively prevent post-flood disease outbreaks.

"Through social welfare activities, especially healthcare for people after natural disasters, we hope to contribute to stabilizing people's lives, preventing disease outbreaks, and helping people return to normal life as soon as possible," Colonel Khuat Ba Cao emphasized.

Through concrete and practical actions during and after the floods, the image of military medical personnel standing side-by-side with the people continues to spread humanitarian values, contributing to further strengthening the bond between the military and the people in the province.
