A 26-year-old flight attendant was arrested for hiding nearly 1kg of gold in her rectum. She is famous for her beauty and often shares her luxurious life on social media.
An air hostess working for Air India Express was arrested at Kannur airport for allegedly smuggling gold and hiding it in her rectum.
Specifically, according to India's Directorate of Monetary Intelligence (DRI), authorities discovered that the flight attendant was hiding 960 grams of mixed gold in her rectum.
According to the investigation agency, the air hostess Surabhi Khatun was specially trained to smuggle nearly 1 kg of gold by hiding it in her rectum. They came to this conclusion because an untrained person could not have hidden so much gold in her body.
There is nothing unusual about Khatun's gait or behavior. In addition, the body will try to expel the foreign object, so people like Khatun are specially trained to control this for hours.
Surabhi Khatun was a flight attendant on an Air India flight from Muscat to Kannur. Indian intelligence agencies said air hostesses have been arrested before for smuggling gold but this is the first case in India where a female flight attendant tried to smuggle gold by inserting it into her rectum.
Indian media added that the flight attendant, Surabhi Khatun, is 26 years old and lives in Kolkata. She is famous for her beauty and often shares pictures of her luxurious life on social media. If the above deal is successful, she will receive a large salary.
DRI sources said that the police have arrested a man named Suhail, believed to be the mastermind behind the incident. He had carried out more than 20 cases of gold smuggling through flight attendants.
Previously, in 2020, in India, a male passenger, departing from Kannur airport to Dubai, was recorded hiding 1 kg of gold bars in his rectum.
