Cu M'gar District Police are continuing to verify and consolidate records to handle 4 electric bicycle and electric motorbike shops in the area for trading in goods of unknown origin.
Previously, through professional work, Cu M'gar District Police discovered that many electric bicycle and electric motorbike shops in the area had signs of violations in the commercial field. Immediately after that, the leaders of Cu M'gar District Police directed the Economic Police team to investigate and verify.
The number of electric motorbikes and electric bicycles of unknown origin is being processed. |
By the morning of September 26, the police force deployed 4 working groups to simultaneously inspect 4 stores in Quang Phu town and Quang Tien commune (Cu M'gar district). Thereby, they discovered 110 electric bicycles and electric motorbikes without invoices or documents proving their origin (total asset value of more than 1 billion VND). Immediately after that, the police force drew up a record, sealed and seized all of the above vehicles and brought them to the unit to serve the investigation and verification.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Thai Khac Chinh, Chief of Cu M'gar District Police, these four stores often import separate components and accessories to assemble into electric bicycles and electric motorbikes. Therefore, the vehicles sold often do not meet standards, quality and lack safety inspection. In addition, the quality of the battery is not guaranteed, which can easily lead to dangerous short circuits and explosions.
