Dam Ha is a land rich in cultural and historical traditions of Quang Ninh province. Including the Dam Ha Communal House Festival recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2023.

The Party Committee, government and people of Dam Ha district received the Certificate of ranking Dam Ha Communal House Festival as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Dam Ha Communal House Festival is held in the first lunar month every year. In addition to the procession and worship rituals of the Thanh Hoang like other festivals, Dam Ha Communal House Festival has many unique features, such as: the procession of 17 vegetarian trays before the procession of the Thanh Hoang; the flag-running ritual around the communal house and temple during the procession; the ceremony of stopping the palanquin to sing while the Thanh Hoang is being brought back to the Communal House; the combination of dances during the worship...

People's Artist Dang Thi Tu (104 years old, in Dam Ha commune, Dam Ha district) performs silk house singing and communal house singing.

Coming to the festival, Dam Ha villagers not only perform rituals with the gods but also listen to singing, watch dancing, and enjoy traditional folk games that they themselves created.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vu Van Dien requested Dam Ha district to continue to preserve and promote the locality's fine traditional cultural values, associated with tourism economic development. The focus is on preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in general and the national intangible cultural heritage "Dam Ha Communal House Festival" in particular.

Dam Ha district received the Prime Minister's decision to recognize the district as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2022.

Also at the ceremony, Quang Ninh province announced Decision No. 156/QD-TTg dated February 6, 2024 of the Prime Minister recognizing Dam Ha district as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2022. Dam Ha district is one of the first two districts in the country to meet advanced new rural standards according to the National criteria set for new rural areas in the period 2021-2025.
