Promoting the role of students in building happy schools

Comrade Tran Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City attended and directed the congress.

During the 2023 - 2025 term, the student union and movement of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education set many important targets, striving for at least 35% of union and association officials to achieve the title of "5 Good Students" at all levels, 10 "5 Good Students" at the Central level, 20 "5 Good Students" at the city level, 200 "5 Good Students" at the school and inter-association levels, at least 2 "5 Good Students" groups at all levels, mobilizing at least 500 million VND to award scholarships to students, each member participating in at least 5 volunteer days/school year... Students of the school also strive to implement well the key programs and projects: "Improving the effectiveness of the 5 Good Student Ambassador group", "Developing entrepreneurship skills among students", the project to build the course "Association Officer 4.0" on the online training platform (VLE)".

Aiming at the goal of building a happy school for students, the congress established the slogan of action "Students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education are brave - pioneers - integrated - creative - building happy schools". Along with that, the association's work and student movements aim to promote the role of students in implementing the school's key and strategic tasks, especially building happy schools and smart schools. At the same time, focusing on promoting the image of the school's students through the group "5 Good Student Ambassadors". Within the framework of the congress, the school's members and students were inspired to join hands in building happy schools through the thematic report of Professor, Dr. Huynh Van Son, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education with the theme "Building happy schools".

The congress has many new points for other units to learn from such as: The model of "Paperless Congress", using the application "Uncle Ho's City Youth" in organizing work, contactless roll call, news updates, social networks... Along with that, the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education is also a connecting space with the participation of 6 pedagogical universities nationwide.

At the congress, the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education signed a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Student Association of units in Kien Giang, Dong Thap provinces, WESET English Center... At the same time, the Vietnam Student Association of the school was honored to receive the flag of Excellent Unit in Association work and student movement for the 2020-2023 term of the Vietnam Student Association, many outstanding collectives and individuals received awards from the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City and the President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

The congress elected the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education for the 2023-2025 term and elected a delegation to attend the city-level congress. Mr. Nguyen Khanh Tung was re-elected as President of the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
