Broadcasting "Safe for Children" - a series of cartoons about disaster prevention and control

From September 14, the program “Safe for Children” began broadcasting a special series of 10 episodes on the topic of natural disaster prevention and control on VTV3 channel. This is an animated series aimed at disseminating knowledge and equipping children with safety skills.

Regularly broadcast on VTV3 and digital platforms, through 2 seasons (2023, 2024), the program "Safe for Children" has become a companion of children, families and the whole society with useful knowledge and skills, through meaningful, humane film stories, containing profound messages to protect children.

Throughout the 10 upcoming episodes, the two main characters Bi and Bong, with the support of the "Genius Team for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control", will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for children to deal with the types of natural disasters that frequently occur in our country. Through everyday stories and situations in the daily lives of young children, integrating knowledge and skills to protect children's safety, the content and messages are conveyed in a concise, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-remember manner.

Ms. Trinh Thu Huong - General Director of TimesMedia - the production unit of the series "Safety for Children" said: "This is the second consecutive year that special episodes on disaster prevention and control have been produced with the support and coordination of the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention ( Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Vietnam, with funding from the Government of Japan. The timely production and broadcasting of 10 special episodes on the topic of disaster prevention and control in September, when the North of our country has just experienced a historic storm and flood, is a very meaningful and necessary thing to do."

Through the episodes, the audience is provided with knowledge about tornadoes, measures to respond when tornadoes occur (episode "Whirls"), understanding thunder and lightning, how to prevent when there is thunder and lightning (episode "The Jade Emperor is angry"), distinguishing between floods and inundation, things to prepare before floods and inundation occur (episode "The story of a thousand years") or skills to deal with floods, things to do and not to do during floods and inundation (episode "Cannot be subjective"), things to do to overcome after floods and inundation occur (episode "After the flood")...

The program “Safe for Children” airs from 5:50 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday on VTV3, and is rebroadcast on VTV5 at 10:25 a.m. on Monday and Friday. Episodes are also available on the national digital platform VTVgo.
