From 2022 to present, all levels and sectors of the district have promoted tourism development, contributing to building the image of Dong Thap province in general and Lap Vo district in particular close to the actual conditions. Thereby, bringing the district's tourism to a new development step, promoting local socio -economic development.

Sectors, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations of districts, communes and towns have increased propaganda on tourism development, contributing to building an image associated with the province's key Projects and Programs: restructuring the agricultural sector, the National Target of New Rural Development, developing rural tourism in the period of 2022-2025, in many forms, close, concise, easy to remember. According to the People's Committee of Lap Vo district, after the Covid-19 epidemic was well controlled, the district's professional departments strengthened guidance for tourist areas, destinations, accommodation establishments, and food and beverage establishments to implement flexible, safe, and effective adaptive solutions. In particular, they guided the implementation of the set of criteria for assessing Covid-19 safety in tourism activities. Through on-site inspections, the professional departments found that tourism service establishments actively assessed safety daily, connecting with the National Covid-19 safety system according to the set of criteria for assessing epidemic prevention and control safety in tourism activities.

The development of specific tourism products is of interest to attract tourists, improve competitiveness and sustainability. Based on natural conditions, culture, history, and types of tourism, Lap Vo district focuses on investment and development, especially eco-tourism, spiritual cultural tourism, and craft village tourism. Notably, in 2022, the Provincial People's Committee approved a list of 10 community tourism spots in Lap Vo district, including: Long Hung B au field rural agricultural tourism; community tourism of buoy cutting and net weaving villages; Nam Tiem fruit garden tourism; Lotus leaf and cajuput bark painting rural agricultural tourism; Ut Khoan community tourism; Orchid Garden community tourism... supported by the province to invest in tourism development in the area in the period of 2022-2026.

Tourist areas and spots in Lap Vo district are constantly innovating, creating, renovating, investing in upgrading facilities, landscapes and environments to serve tourists. Forming new products and services associated with improving service quality, ensuring safety criteria for epidemic prevention and control, meeting the needs of entertainment, spring travel, Tet, major national holidays, cultural and tourism events of the province and locality.

Investing in infrastructure and promoting tourism

The district focuses on investing in infrastructure to serve tourism development based on public investment resources combined with social resources. Up to now, a number of transport infrastructure projects have been invested in such as: roads and bridges to the Con Ong eco-tourism site in Tan Khanh Trung commune; district road 69; extension of district road 69 from the Park to Long Hung A Primary School; construction of new roads and bridges from provincial road 848 to Con Ong; investment in construction, renovation, upgrading, and embellishment of the environmental landscape of district and commune roads. In general, infrastructure projects have been effective, directly impacting tourism activities.

The district has well implemented administrative reforms, creating a favorable business environment to encourage economic sectors to easily access and participate in investing in tourism development. Currently, the locality is calling for investment in the fields of culture and tourism in the areas of Con Ong commune, Tan Khanh Trung commune, Con Qua commune, Dinh Yen commune.

In the coming time, Lap Vo district will promote propaganda work, raise awareness of tourism development, create a change in the awareness of all levels, sectors and people to consider tourism as one of the important economic sectors of the district. Increase investment in tourism development, develop transport infrastructure, tourism infrastructure, develop specific tourism products, agricultural and rural tourism products. At the same time, improve the effectiveness of state management of tourism, including reviewing, adjusting and supplementing tourism development into the overall planning for socio-economic development of the district for the period 2021 - 2025 and orientation to 2030.
