New thinking will create new values; creativity is essential in any field, especially in literature. Through this, we can assess the abilities and thinking of students. We can better understand what today's young generation thinks and aspires to in the future. Using a new literary work as exam material that embodies positive qualities and meaning, especially one with high educational value, is highly recommended and necessary.
We highly commend the national education sector for starting in 2025, when teachers will no longer use textbook material to create high school graduation exam questions for literature. Students taking the exam will have already been equipped with the basic knowledge and methods by their schools and teachers to apply to any real-world situation, not following any pre-determined model.
Genuine emotion is the soul and heart of a piece of writing. A happy person is someone who appreciates beauty and art. Literature aims for the great values of truth, goodness, and beauty, and for historical, cultural, artistic, and moral values. Therefore, flexibility in teaching methods is essential. This is the mission of bringing about a new education for the education sector in general, for the school, and especially for the teachers.
The development of students will become holistic in terms of intellect, spirit, and emotion. Each generation of students will possess a solid inner foundation capable of learning well, thinking well, and loving learning more. Through this, they will learn how to approach exam questions, engage with literary works, and master creative writing techniques, enabling them to write excellent and correct essays themselves, instead of simply memorizing and copying others' ideas (sample essays they have learned). Building the education system and schools into a healthy pedagogical environment that fosters learning, writing, and creative skills is the best and most effective educational method for today's young generation.
New thinking will create new values, which is something to be cherished and is the best skill to cultivate in students' learning. It should also be added that in recent years, some specialized schools for literature, high schools, and provincial and city education departments have used new literary works as exam questions. Thus, literature exam questions have begun to take a very interesting, open-ended approach, reflecting the creativity of the teachers – those who create the questions. Therefore, students have more "space" to express their abilities, ideas, and writing skills. In particular, the texts chosen as exam materials are very profound, honoring the beautiful and humane meanings in life.
Prioritizing intellectual progress in learning is crucial for students' sustainable development, and this is the mission of the national education system and our school today. Importantly, the fact that the exam structure remains unchanged is also an advantage for students. Therefore, students must always adhere to the exam structure, helping them quickly synthesize and memorize knowledge, which will enable them to perform most effectively in exams.
