Approval of the Planning Task of the Central Urban Area and New Urban Area of Cam Lam

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said it will specify land use indicators, spatial organization solutions, and landscape architecture for the area according to the approved Cam Lam New Urban Master Plan, Khanh Hoa Province to 2045.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just approved the Zoning Planning Task (scale 1/2000) of the Central Urban Sub-area, Cam Lam New Urban Area. The total planning area is about 5,652 hectares; the preliminary boundary of the zoning planning belongs to Cam Duc town, Cam Thanh Bac commune, part of Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam An Nam, Cam An Bac, Cam Hai Dong communes, Cam Lam district. The estimated population is about 195,000 - 325,000 people. The construction land area is about 4,400 hectares.

The goal of the planning area is to develop a new Cam Lam urban administrative-political center, reusing the existing Cam Lam district administrative-political center land for community service purposes; develop a new financial-commercial-service center line, in coordination with a high-density mixed-use area, with the highlight of contemporary iconic high-rise mixed-use buildings; develop new international cultural exchange spaces, training, research and innovation centers of international standards on Tri Tue Island, with the highlight being the international exhibition area, sea square, high-rise mixed-use buildings, reflected on the surface of Thuy Trieu lagoon; develop a new Southern Urban Center Area with the function of an urban-level comprehensive center, associated with a high-tech industrial cluster, serving the needs of tourism, urban and innovation; renovate and embellish the existing Cam Duc town residential area in combination with resettlement of scattered and non-concentrated residential areas...

The planning area is the administrative - political center of the entire urban area; the financial - commercial - service center, international cultural exchange; the regional training, research and innovation center; the area where the population and main activities of the entire urban area are concentrated; the western gateway - the main gateway of the new urban area of Cam Lam.

The approved planning task is the basis for Cam Lam District People's Committee to organize the preparation, submission for appraisal and approval of the Zoning Plan (scale 1/2000) of the Central Urban Area and New Urban Area of Cam Lam according to legal regulations. The time for preparing the Zoning Plan shall not exceed 9 months from the date the planning task is approved.
