Speaking at the opening of the discussion session, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that Heritage is a crystallized asset of the past. However, unlike other types of assets, Heritage is a special type of asset, through specific mechanisms to transform into commodity products serving sustainable tourism development. To transform that asset, it is necessary to identify its form and nature, from which to research and restore it as a basis for Ninh Binh to exploit to serve the goal of building a Millennium Heritage City.
Regarding other interdisciplinary knowledge such as ethnology and history, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes that experts will clarify the organizational characteristics of the Ninh Binh ethnic space and the Viet Muong space. From there, there will be more scientific arguments to enrich the cultural and historical values of our ancestors.
In addition, indigenous knowledge such as culinary industry and architecture serving tourists are also contents that need to be noted in order to serve tourism to develop harmoniously, sustainably, and adapt to climate change.
Emphasizing the national spirit and national aspirations expressed in many contents throughout the history of the Ancient Capital such as health care, music, folk festivals, beliefs, architecture, etc., the Provincial Party Secretary said that this is an important premise for Ninh Binh to develop the Heritage economy based on its inherent indigenous and historical values. This is also the direction that Ninh Binh is focusing on exploiting to comply with UNESCO's requirements in preserving and promoting the sustainable value of Heritage.
Through the Seminar, scientific arguments will be provided for Ninh Binh to continue to define each type of heritage to clarify the unique value of Trang An. At the same time, the Seminar will contribute significantly to the province's efforts to build a historical record that reflects the true stature and historical length of the ancient capital, especially before the 10th century.
* Speaking at the seminar, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Tan Van, Vietnam Institute of Geological Sciences and Mineral Resources, presented the content "Geological heritage at Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex associated with tourism development". Accordingly, when Trang An was recognized as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, it met all three criteria of culture, aesthetics, and geological and geomorphological values.
Therefore, Ninh Binh can exploit green tourism, eco-tourism, including geological tourism. This is a new type of cultural-ecological tourism, which can be developed in areas with important geological characteristics and values, to enrich the content, improve the quality of tourism in general and attract tourists.
The preservation and promotion of the values of geological heritage associated with tourism in Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex requires the participation of local communities in the preservation of attractions and surrounding landscapes as well as the development of livelihood opportunities; at the same time, developing a system of quality local products, associated with the label of a geopark.
*Associate Professor Dr. Lam Ba Nam, President of the Vietnam Association of Ethnology and Anthropology, said that the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex is a unique and special landscape, and more especially, a cultural heritage associated with the process of gathering on this land tens of thousands of years ago. It is the cultural heritage that has created a special attraction for visitors and scientists at home and abroad.
To awaken the uniqueness of this Heritage, Ninh Binh needs to focus on exploiting the tourism aspect and developing the lives of residents in Trang An territory. First of all, it is necessary to build Heritage tours, creating unique cultural space forms. This lesson has been affirmed in many tourist destinations, which have great appeal to domestic and international tourists.
*Dr. Mai Thanh Son, Vietnam Association of Ethnology and Humanities, presented a presentation on "Ninh Binh river culture and prospects for exploitation in tourism". Ninh Binh has a dense river system, with large river systems such as Day River, Hoang Long River, Boi River, Vac River, Van Sang River...
River culture has become one of the pillars of Ninh Binh culture and needs to be exploited in tourism economic development. River culture tourism will contribute to diversifying the types and products of Ninh Binh tourism, increasing capacity, reducing the load on the current key areas, and contributing to preserving traditional cultural values.
Proposing a group of solutions to develop tourism, Dr. Mai Thanh Son said that it is necessary to research and compile Heritage, develop plans to exploit potential and propose to competent authorities. Local authorities need to have specific policies to promote the development of river tourism. For specialized agencies, it is necessary to identify types of tourism, develop scenarios, design tours, discovery and experience points, mobilize resources and build solutions to connect within and outside the region.
* In her presentation on "Exploiting the rich archaeological potential of Trang An to diversify tourism products for different target groups", Dr. Le Thi Lien, Vietnam Archaeological Association, proposed a number of archaeological tourism products for Trang An Heritage Site.
Some tourism products that can be developed include: Visiting prehistoric cave sites; visiting historical archaeological sites; camping to experience historical space combined with natural and ecological experiences; camping, composing, performing and creating with themes related to archaeology, history, nature and the environment.
To exploit and develop these tourism products, Ninh Binh should reasonably divide the areas for different functions and types of tourism activities. It is necessary to innovate the methods of display and interpretation, reasonably apply modern means, techniques and methods of display to present historical stories in a vivid and attractive way. Along with that, training human resources to guide and interpret for different product packages related to archaeology is also a very necessary requirement.
*Emphasizing the "Role of the Tran Dynasty relic system in serving tourism development and promoting the image of Ninh Binh", Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy, Institute of Archaeology, said that the Tran Dynasty relic system has very special historical and cultural values in the history of the nation. From there, a system of tools was proposed to evaluate the Heritage ecosystem , such as integrating the values of the Heritage ecosystem into the breakthrough action strategies of the Millennium Heritage City. Ninh Binh needs to focus on reviving traditional occupations and craft villages and concentrate on developing cultural industries such as fashion, music, film, and performance.

*Prof. Dr. Truong Quoc Binh, Former Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, discussed and proposed a number of solutions on policies, state management, planning, and community education to develop tourism associated with cultural preservation.

*According to Dr. Vu The Long, Major in Human and Ancient Environment Research, Research on Vietnamese Culinary Culture History, he brought to the Discussion the content "Trang An scenic spot is Trang An" to affirm that it cannot be compared to "Trang An as Guilin of Vietnam", nor is it "Ha Long on land".

Because Trang An has special and unique values that cannot be found anywhere else. Preserving and promoting geological, geomorphological, cultural and historical values is the responsibility of the local government, the people of Ninh Binh in particular and the people of the whole country in general.
*According to Mr. Phung Quang Thang, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, to exploit heritage tourism products, Ninh Binh needs to continue to build quality and unique products, increase cultural content and experience factors for tourists. At the same time, strengthen regional linkages, linkages with domestic and international Heritage cities to form a solid network, together preserving and developing.

After a period of urgent, serious and effective work, the "Discussion on developing heritage tourism products at the World Cultural and Natural Heritage Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex" received many enthusiastic and profound opinions with important and meaningful suggestions from experts and researchers in the field of tourism.
The seminar contributes to raising awareness of the importance of preserving, maintaining and promoting the outstanding global values of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex after 10 years of being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage. It creates opportunities for researchers, historians, experts in culture, heritage and tourism to conduct more in-depth research on Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, share information, new research and supplement knowledge on archaeology associated with sustainable tourism development.
