On September 3, the Television Film Production Center (VFC), Vietnam Television, announced that “One Millimeter From You” is a story about the friendship of a group of children in Lang May, where Tu, a hyperactive, mischievous girl who loves justice, always wants to protect the territory as well as the people of the 'headquarters' she established.
That headquarters has Bach, the good-natured, studious boy next door; Thu "butter tube" with outstanding ability to calculate money; Bien, the extremely affectionate, hard-working, and skillful orphan; Duc, the adorable, mischievous boy who admires Tu immensely. There is also Quyen, Duc's older sister, a pretty, adorable girl, who is considered by the whole group as a weak angel that needs to be protected when Quyen has a congenital heart disease. The children had a brilliant, bright childhood, full of mischief and battles, but also sweet, profound moments of friendship... The incident happened, causing the children to be separated and have their own lives. A beautiful childhood and a hidden secret became part of everyone's memory.
More than 20 years later, Tu is busy with his work as an operations manager at the company founded by her brother Vien and his old friends. And by chance, when the group of friends returned to May village, the old secret was revealed, awakening memories that were thought to be buried forever.
The journey of the characters in “A Millimeter Away From You” is a journey to find friends, to awaken childhood memories and dreams. Tu - the leader, is determined to put the pieces of the “headquarters” back together, so that they always have a solid friendship to rely on, so that no one feels alone when facing every life event.
What is special in the film is that all love has been sprouted from friendship, from the happy and sad years of childhood. Therefore, whether those loves succeed or fail, blossom or remain hidden in the heart, in love there is always compassion; in compassion there is always a willingness to be there for others.
The film features the performances of many talented young actors such as Thuc Phuong, Gia Long, Minh Xiu, Duc Phong, Quynh Trang, Son Tung. Along with that is the reunion of the beloved cast, transformed into members of the "headquarters" Lang May in their adulthood such as Minh Huyen, Ha Viet Dung, Huynh Anh, Trong Lan, Quynh Chau... The director duo Tran Trong Khoi and Pham Gia Phuong return after consecutive successes of works in the crime genre such as "Black Medicine" and "The Unique Path".
“1 millimeter away from you” airs on VTV3 at 8:00 p.m. every Thursday and Friday starting from September 4.
