This is the first meeting between the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and the Vietnamese community in Poland at the Vietnamese Embassy in nearly 10 years, a special "voter meeting" between National Assembly deputies and voters who are living, studying and working in Poland.
Here, 25 out of 36 Vietnamese organizations and associations representing about 35,000 people in the Vietnamese community in Poland attended the meeting, expressed their opinions, shared their feelings with many wishes, and sent them to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong and National Assembly delegates.
Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Poland Tran Anh Tuan said that during this meeting, "special contact with voters", representatives of the Vietnamese community in Poland had many opinions and recommendations to send to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong and the National Assembly delegates in the delegation. All these recommendations were recorded, clearly explained and will be forwarded to the relevant agencies in the country for consideration and resolution.
At the meeting, representatives of Vietnamese associations and delegations in Poland reflected on many issues, such as: applying for Vietnamese nationality; adjusting living expenses and policies for diplomatic staff abroad; contents related to economics and businesses; increasing the number of scholarships for Vietnamese students; teaching Vietnamese, preserving and promoting Vietnamese culture in Poland...
All opinions and recommendations of the people were answered and satisfactorily resolved by the members of the Delegation.
On behalf of the Delegation, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong acknowledged the enthusiastic, accurate and responsible opinions and recommendations of overseas Vietnamese, representatives of the Vietnamese community in Poland, and said that the Delegation will fully synthesize and forward them to domestic agencies for resolution.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also discussed a number of issues related to the working sessions within the framework of this visit and working trip to Poland.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized The Party and State will create all conditions for the Vietnamese community abroad to make worthy contributions to the homeland and country.
“The Party and State have issued a Resolution on the work of overseas Vietnamese. In the near future, there will be a number of projects that the Government will submit. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also nurturing many contents, including issues of investment, economic, trade and educational cooperation. Certainly, the Party and State always highly appreciate the role of Vietnam abroad, considering it an endogenous resource. Overseas Vietnamese not only bring money back to the country, but also bring their intelligence, knowledge, soul and spirit back to their homeland. That is what is valuable,” Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed.
Recalling the statement of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong: "Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today", Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong hopes that diplomatic officials and the Vietnamese community in Poland will effectively implement the foreign policy of "making friends with all countries", "bamboo diplomacy", maintaining the spirit and character of the Vietnamese people in the host country or anywhere far from the Fatherland.
