Also attending were representatives of the leaders of the Departments: Agriculture and Environment; Provincial Cooperative Union; Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development; Provincial People's Committee Office.
The delegation inspected the operations of several units: Minh Thanh Agricultural and Construction Service Cooperative; Lien Thanh Agricultural Cooperative; Tho Thanh General Agricultural Service Cooperative (Yen Thanh); Quynh Thang Forestry - General Cooperative and Quynh Minh Agricultural - Salt Cooperative (Quynh Luu).

These are cooperatives that operate effectively in the fields of production and business; investing in many machines and means to serve the needs of farmers.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Yen Thanh and Quynh Luu districts, cooperatives in the area have had clear changes. Cooperatives have gradually promoted their autonomy, self-determination and responsibility for production and business activities.

The management apparatus is streamlined and operates more effectively; production support, job creation, and income improvement for members are focused on.

Currently, in Yen Thanh district, there are 47 agricultural cooperatives. Of these, 46 are operating, with a total of more than 10,000 members.
Quynh Luu district has 84 active cooperatives, of which 74 operate in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery and salt production and 10 in the non-agricultural sector. The total number of cooperative members in the area is nearly 33,000 people; the cooperative leadership team is increasingly well-trained.
Besides the achieved results, cooperatives in Yen Thanh and Quynh Luu still face many difficulties.
Although in recent years, cooperatives have been able to borrow capital and invest in purchasing machinery and vehicles, they still cannot meet the needs of production and business; Many rice seed production fields have not been invested in infrastructure... Therefore, cooperatives propose that the province should have a price support policy so that cooperatives can purchase more machinery and vehicles.

Regarding the approach and implementation of digital transformation, the information technology infrastructure in many agricultural cooperatives is still backward; many units do not have computers or internet-connected devices, causing major obstacles to the application of science and technology in production. In addition, the workforce in cooperatives still lacks basic skills and digital capabilities such as information exploitation, market access, use of management software or e-commerce.

The inspection trip of the Provincial People's Committee delegation is an important step to correctly assess the current situation and grasp the difficulties of cooperatives, in order to promptly remove obstacles, thereby orienting the construction of new, effective and sustainable cooperatives.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De acknowledged the dynamism, daring to think and act of the units; regarding the proposals of the cooperatives, assigned the departments and branches to synthesize to have a solution orientation to expand the scale of production and business.
Functional sectors need to promote digital skills training for cooperative staff and members; support cooperatives in accessing technology infrastructure, building management software, e-commerce, traceability, etc.
