The contest was attended by more than 150 contestants who were students from 14 excellent primary and secondary schools at the district-level contest. Of these, 15 contestants officially participated in the contest, the rest were contestants who participated in supporting the contests. The contestants brought to the contest 14 stories that they had collected and researched from official books and newspapers published in the country. Through that, the contestants introduced and shared with friends, teachers and the audience to cheer on the touching and meaningful stories about the Ho Chi Minh campaign to liberate the South and unify the country; the ten girls at Dong Loc crossroads, female general Nguyen Thi Dinh, hero Nguyen Van Troi, the story of the liberation of the Truong Sa archipelago... Through selecting, reading and retelling stories about historical events and heroic characters, it helped the students approach knowledge proactively and bring moral values, responsibility and gratitude.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize in the children's age group to contestant Le Anh Phuong Nga (Phuoc Tien Primary School, Nha Trang City); the first prize in the teenage age group to contestant Nguyen Ngoc Gia Han (Le Hong Phong Secondary School, Cam Ranh City); the collective A prize went to Nha Trang City.
