The decoration cluster welcoming the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Da Nang city is located at Ha Khe Sea Park (Thanh Khe District).

The 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Da Nang city took place over 2 days (August 20 and 21, 2024) at the City Political School Hall (No. 34 Ho Nghinh Street, Da Nang city) with 400 delegates attending, including 300 official delegates and 100 invited delegates.

The congress has the theme “Promoting the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , implementing socialist democracy; strengthening the strength of great national unity, contributing to building Da Nang city to develop sustainably and be worth living”. The motto is “Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Development”.

The 12th Congress set out the direction of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the city for the 2024-2029 term, which is to promote the core political role and responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in building the great national unity bloc, strengthening social consensus; promoting emulation in studying, working creatively, promoting all potentials and resources among the people; actively participating in Party building and building an increasingly clean and strong government.

The Congress proposed 6 action programs including: Strengthening propaganda, mobilization, gathering people of all walks of life, strengthening social consensus, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; Improving the quality and effectiveness of supervision and social criticism, promoting democracy, participating in Party and State building; Encouraging people of all walks of life to compete, be creative, and effectively carry out campaigns and emulation movements; Improving the effectiveness of people's foreign affairs and work with overseas Vietnamese; Continuing to innovate the organizational apparatus, improving the capacity of the Front's staff at all levels; Building self-governing, united, prosperous, and happy residential areas.

The Congress has the task of reporting on the summary assessment of the 2019-2024 term and proposing an action program for the new term 2024-2029; reviewing the activities of the Standing Committee and the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee during the 2019-2024 term; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029; proposing and proposing amendments and supplements to the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX; consulting on electing the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairmen and Standing Committee Members, term XII; consulting on electing a delegation to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.

The 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city took place at a time when the Party Committee, government and people of all walks of life in the city were highly focused, accelerating and breaking through to successfully carry out socio-economic tasks in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 22nd National Party Congress of the city.
