Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang visits and wishes a Happy New Year to the army and people of Hai Phong

Speaking to the people during his return visit to the city, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang highly appreciated Hai Phong for always being in the leading group of the country in many indicators, including economic growth rate; always maintaining the image, tradition, and culture of Hai Phong people, doing everything thoroughly and until the final result.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang presented 500 gifts, each worth more than 1.3 million VND, to policy families, poor households, and workers in difficult circumstances in Hai Phong City.

Besides, Hai Phong is also a bright spot in taking care of social security for policy beneficiaries, the poor, and vulnerable people with the highest average level in the country, demonstrating the culture of sharing and community responsibility of Hai Phong people.

On the same afternoon, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang visited and extended New Year greetings to the 50th Infantry Regiment, which was honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces twice. Accompanying him were Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Commander of Military Region 3; Major General Le Van Long, Deputy Commander of Military Region 3; and Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Khac Nam.

The 50th Infantry Regiment was established on July 1, 1954, and is one of the main units of the Hai Phong City Military Command, Military Region 3. After 70 years of building, fighting and growing, in any circumstances, it has always excellently completed all tasks assigned by the Party, State, Army and people.

The officers and soldiers of the Regiment are determined to achieve the highest achievements towards celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Regiment's founding (July 1, 1954 - July 1, 2024), contributing to building a strong and clean Party organization, a strong and comprehensive Regiment, "exemplary and typical", ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks well, worthy of the tradition of the unit being twice a Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the feats, outstanding achievements and efforts of the officers and soldiers of Regiment 50 over the past time; affirmed that these results were thanks to the attention, leadership and direction of comrades in the Party Committee, the Military Region 3 Command, directly by Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Commander of the Military Region; the city leaders and the Hai Phong City Military Command.

The Deputy Prime Minister believes that the Regiment will continue to uphold and promote the tradition of the unit, twice Hero of the People's Armed Forces, always strive, be dynamic, creative, train, be ready to fight, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

In particular, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, the Deputy Prime Minister requested officers and soldiers of Regiment 50 to thoroughly grasp the spirit of celebrating the New Year but absolutely not forgetting their duties.
