The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the effective investment and business activities of PowerChina Group globally, especially in the fields of energy and infrastructure construction, which has applied many advanced and modern technologies.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that with the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, along with the attention, orientation and direction of the two countries' senior leaders, Vietnam and China have many favorable conditions to develop cross-border transport infrastructure projects, serving economic , investment and trade activities.
Currently, Vietnam and China have signed two memorandums of understanding on enhancing cross-border railway development cooperation, in the plan to connect “Two Corridors, One Belt” with the “Belt and Road” initiative between Vietnam and China.
“Transport infrastructure projects will be a symbol of the cooperative relationship between the two countries. In addition to investment and business activities, Chinese enterprises need to pay attention to sharing experiences and transferring technology to Vietnamese partners so that both sides can cooperate and win,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

In the energy sector, the Deputy Prime Minister said that Vietnam has issued the Electricity Plan 8, which reserves a large amount of space for renewable energy development, but must ensure a stable and balanced power system, and solve the problem of storing, transporting, and using new fuels produced from renewable energy such as hydrogen, ammonia, etc.
The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed Chinese enterprises, including PowerChina, to participate in renewable energy projects; he hoped that these projects would become models of effective and quality cooperation.
Reporting to the Deputy Prime Minister on PowerChina's operations in Vietnam, Mr. Vuong Binh said that the Group has a close cooperative relationship with Vietnamese enterprises in project implementation, as well as training local human resources.
PowerChina leaders also shared about a number of renewable energy projects being implemented by the Group, especially energy storage solutions in the process of developing renewable energy in China to ensure stability, balance and safety of the power system, in which the pumped storage hydropower model has proven to be highly effective.
Besides, PowerChina also has a lot of experience, capacity and resources to implement transport infrastructure projects such as highways and high-speed railways.
Taking note of the recommendations of the leaders of PowerChina Group, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned ministries, branches and localities to continue working and supporting PowerChina Group in seeking investment opportunities in specific and suitable renewable energy and transport infrastructure projects, "contributing to continuing the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China with new works and projects in the digital transformation and green transformation period".
