People's Teacher Pham Van Bong and career advice according to trends
As the former Vice Principal in charge of admissions and training, during the career counseling session for new candidates, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Bong advised on "hot" careers according to market trends.
People's Teacher Pham Van Bong said: "Today, professions related to "technology 4.0" are emerging, such as Information Technology, Automation, Electronics, etc. But they are not emerging like a "new trend, new fashion", but from actual needs.
However, I want to emphasize to candidates that when choosing a major to study, you do not necessarily base it on whether that major is "hot" or "not hot", but must see if it is suitable for you or not. In the trend of technology 4.0, all fields tend to be related to information technology, they should not be separated.
There are psychology majors that people seem to dislike, and few candidates choose to study. However, the demand from society is not without need. Right at our school, in the past, there were majors that employers and businesses waited to recruit students, but there were not enough numbers for them to recruit.
Having worked in recruitment and training for many years, the first advice I would like to give you is not to rush into choosing a school. First of all, you should consider what career you are passionate about and love. This needs to be considered very carefully, not waiting until the registration day to think and worry.
Second, think about your own abilities, think about whether you have the ability to pursue your passion and meet the requirements of this industry. If you only love it but your abilities are limited, you should not pursue it.
Third, in addition to passion and ability, candidates must also consider their family situation and geographical location to see if they are suitable. If they want to study but their family does not have enough conditions to support them, they cannot do so.
Fourth, you should also listen to advice from relatives and experts in that field. Because sometimes you like this industry just "intuitively", because you follow the majority, so you need more analysis from people around you.
After determining a suitable career according to the 4 steps above, you can now proceed to choose a school among the schools that offer training in that field. Many candidates now compete to choose a school first and then choose a major later, I think this can lead to mistakes...
There are also students who enter school and then realize that their passion lies in another field. In this case, changing majors or schools will be much more difficult, and students will have to "pay the price" by wasting 1-2 years of study. Therefore, choosing the right career from the beginning is very necessary. Students need to make reasonable choices and consider the criteria I have outlined."
