Binh Duong farmers' movement is ready to enter a transformation phase

(BDO) On the morning of June 27, in Minh Hoa commune (Dau Tieng district), the Provincial Farmers' Association held the 5th Executive Committee Meeting (expanded), term X to review the work of the association and the farmers' movement in the first 6 months of 2025; at the same time, evaluate the operation of the Billionaire Farmers' Association of Binh Duong province. Attending the meeting were Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Do Ngoc Huy, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association and representatives of Farmers' Associations at all levels.

In the past 6 months, the Provincial Farmers' Association has proactively implemented many practical programs, closely following the orientations of the Central and Provincial Party Committees, especially widely disseminating policies on administrative unit arrangement, streamlining the apparatus and preparing for Party Congresses at all levels. The models of branches and professional associations continue to be effective, contributing to improving farmers' lives.

The province currently has more than 7,700 hectares of high-tech cultivation, nearly 530 large livestock farms and 12 communes meeting the new rural model standards. Vocational training, legal advice, capital support and agricultural product consumption have also been promoted. In addition, the association frankly acknowledged some difficulties such as irregular branch activities and membership development not meeting targets.

In the last 6 months of the year, the Provincial Farmers' Association determined to continue to strengthen political and ideological propaganda, replicate effective production models and proactively advise on arranging the association in accordance with new administrative units, striving to complete the targets for 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Ngoc Huy affirmed that the association's work and the farmers' movement in the province have maintained their leading position in the country over the years, and have been highly appreciated by the Central Association. That achievement comes from the close leadership of the Executive Committee, the support of all levels and especially the positive spirit and solidarity of the members, especially the Billionaire Farmers Association.

The merger of the administrative organization and the association organization from July 1, 2025 is a new beginning with a larger development space. He called on all cadres and members to continue to promote the sense of responsibility, intelligence and love for the homeland to take the farmers' movement further.

The maintenance and development of models of good production and business farmers will continue to be consulted and replicated in the new association. Although the name has changed, the identity, spirit and pride of “ Binh Duong farmers” will remain forever, closely attached to the flesh and blood of each member.
