Accompanying the Lady in the activities was Algerian Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Ms. Houria Meddahi. Sharing during the visit, Lady Le Thi Bich Tran expressed her deep impression of Algeria - a beautiful country, rich in cultural identity, with gentle and hospitable people that left her with many good feelings.
At the El Biar Child Protection Center, the Madam was warmly welcomed by the children with sweet dates and dance performances choreographed by the children themselves. The innocence and purity of the children brought many emotions to the group.
After listening to the Center's leaders introduce the activities, living conditions and the children's journey of overcoming difficulties, the Lady and the delegation visited some classrooms, playgrounds and accommodation of the children.
El Biar Center receives and cares for children in special circumstances, including orphans, abandoned children, children whose mothers are serving sentences or living in broken families. Not only is it a shelter, the Center is also a spiritual home, helping children find love, build trust and hope for the future.
During the intimate conversation and the presentation of meaningful gifts, Mrs. Le Thi Bich Tran expressed her emotion at the dedication of the staff of El Biar Center - those who are working hard every day to bring disadvantaged children a warm and healthy environment to develop. The Lady expressed her hope that the Center will continue to be a solid support for the children, creating conditions for them to live in love, access education , social services and have the opportunity to look forward to a bright future. She also sent words of encouragement to the children, hoping that they will always try to study and practice to become useful citizens for society.
Minister Houria Meddahi and the Center's leadership sincerely thanked Mrs. Le Thi Bich Tran for her kindness and gifts, affirming that the visit was a great source of encouragement for the children and the staff who are taking care of them day and night here.
Also during the program of activities in Algeria, Mrs. Le Thi Bich Tran and Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Houria Meddahi visited the Djaballah Said pottery workshop and experienced Algerian pottery making techniques.
Ceramics in Algeria has a long tradition, originating from rural areas. This is not only a traditional craft but also a part of the cultural heritage, attracting many tourists. Here, Mrs. Le Thi Bich Tran and Minister Houria Meddahi together decorated a ceramic piece with Algerian motifs.
