Ea Wer women promote their role in economic development and new rural construction

On the afternoon of October 23, the Women's Union of Ea Wer commune held the 1st Congress of Women's Delegates of the commune, term 2025 - 2030.

Attending the event were Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Vo Thi Ngoc; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Wer Commune Tran Minh Trinh; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of H'Bon Du Commune, along with 85 official delegates representing more than 5,700 women members in the area.

Ea Wer Commune Women's Union currently has 33 branches, including 6 local ethnic minority women's branches, with a total of 5,719 members. In the 2021 - 2025 term, the Union at all levels has strived to unite, innovate content and methods of operation, completing and exceeding 8/8 targets of the Resolution.

Emulation movements and campaigns such as "Building Dak Lak women of the new era", "Building families of 5 no, 3 clean" have been widely deployed, bringing many practical results. In 5 years, the Association has helped 39 households escape poverty, 29 households escape near poverty; supported start-ups for 17 women with a total value of more than 200 million VND; mobilized 562 million VND to implement the program "Godmother - Connecting love", taking care of 17 orphans...

Representatives of the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ea Wer commune presented a congratulatory banner to the congress.

The work of building the Association's organization has been focused on, the rate of women aged 18 and over reached 77.53%, exceeding the resolution target; 235 new members were added. The Association also actively innovated its operating methods, promoted digital transformation, effectively maintained more than 20 models and clubs, participated in social supervision and criticism, contributing to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and children.

Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Vo Thi Ngoc acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Ea Wer Commune Women's Union, and requested the Union to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, innovation, closely following the political tasks of the locality; paying attention to supporting ethnic minority women and disadvantaged women; proactively participating in digital transformation, contributing to building Ea Wer commune to develop sustainably.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Breakthrough - Development", in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Ea Wer Commune Women's Union has identified two breakthroughs: comprehensive digital transformation in the Union's activities and promoting women's start-ups and innovation. The Union sets an annual goal of helping and supporting at least 2 households to escape poverty and 2 households to escape near-poverty; striving to have 80% of women and children who are victims of domestic violence and human trafficking return to be supported to access social services; 100% of Union officials are proficient in using information technology...

The first Executive Committee of the Ea Wer Commune Women's Union, term 2025 - 2030, was introduced to the congress.

The Congress announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Ea Wer Commune Women's Union, Term I, consisting of 33 members; of which, the Standing Committee has 7 members. Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Minh was appointed to hold the position of President of the Ea Wer Commune Women's Union, term 2025 - 2030. The Congress also appointed 3 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 1st Dak Lak Provincial Women's Congress.

On this occasion, the Ea Wer Commune Women's Union awarded business start-up grants worth 10 million VND/person to 2 disadvantaged members of the locality.
