Phu Tho welcomes about 3 million visitors on Hung Kings' death anniversary

During the 10 days of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival and the 2024 Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week (from April 9 to April 18), Phu Tho province welcomed about 3 million visitors.

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the Hung Kings' death anniversary, an estimated 3 million visitors participated in cultural and sports activities, visited tourist areas and attractions and practiced beliefs throughout the province.

There are 2 days when the Hung Temple Historical Site receives a sudden increase in visitors: Sunday (April 14) with about 700,000 visitors and the main festival day (April 18), welcoming about 500,000 visitors. This year's Hung Temple festival falls in the middle of the week, so the number of visitors is not as high as in 2023.

During the 10 days of the festival, the Organizing Committee has increased the socialization of performing events, folk arts, organized a series of art programs in Viet Tri city and opened a tour to experience Hung Temple at night to serve a large number of tourists.

The series of festival activities in communes and areas around Hung Temple such as Hung Lo ancient communal house, Bach Hac - Ben Got tourist area... have also been expanded in scale, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over. This year's festival was organized in accordance with regulations: The ceremony was solemn and respectful; the festival was joyful and united... Security forces ensured safety activities, contributing to the great success of the festival.
