On the morning of February 3rd (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year of the Snake), at the Hung Temple historical site in Phu Tho province, a ceremony was held to launch the "Tree Planting Festival to Forever Remember Uncle Ho" for the Spring of the Year of the Snake 2025.

Attending the launching ceremony were: Comrade Bui Minh Chau - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Bui Van Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Phung Khanh Tai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, and mass organizations of the province and Viet Tri city, along with a large number of people in the area.

Launching the "Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to Uncle Ho" in the Spring of 2025, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Quang affirmed: Along with the rest of the country, the "Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to Uncle Ho" each spring has become a tradition, a custom, a beautiful cultural feature, and a mass movement widely implemented by the Party Committee, Government, and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho province. This activity has profound significance, demonstrating the determination to learn from and follow President Ho Chi Minh 's call for the Tree Planting Festival; it is also a concrete and practical action, showing Phu Tho province's determination to conserve nature, develop and protect forests, and protect the ecological environment and sustainable living environment for today and tomorrow.

Over the years, the province's tree planting and reforestation movement has been widely implemented and achieved positive results. On average, the province plants over 9,000 hectares of concentrated forest and 2 million scattered trees annually. Income from forestry is steadily increasing. The movement to plant green trees and shade trees in urban areas, offices, schools, and along roads is becoming increasingly effective; contributing to the protection and improvement of the ecological environment, enhancing the landscape, mitigating natural disasters, and making a positive contribution to socio-economic development and the construction of new rural areas.

To ensure the "Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to Uncle Ho" movement in 2025 achieves practical results, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Quang called on all levels, sectors, localities, agencies, businesses, armed forces, and people of all ethnic groups in the province to continue to widely publicize the great benefits of planting trees and forests; to clearly understand their responsibility to protect the ecological environment. Actively participate in planting trees and forests; strive to complete and exceed the target of planting over 9,000 hectares of concentrated forest; plant and transform 2,500 hectares of large timber trees, and plant over 2 million scattered green trees. Continue to do a good job of managing, protecting, and developing natural forests, watershed protection forests, and special-use forests associated with the development of ecotourism; promote intensive cultivation of production forests, improve productivity, quality, and economic efficiency in forestry production and hill and forest economy.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Quang, Standing Deputy Provincial Party Secretary Phung Khanh Tai, and other leaders of Phu Tho province planted trees in the Mau Lake area, Hung Temple Historical Relic Site.
