On August 23, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province said that the Department had just organized a Conference of Principals of preschools in the Vinh Phuc area (old) to summarize the 2024-2025 school year and deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year for preschool education.

After the merger, Phu Tho province has 708 kindergartens and 412 private independent groups/classes, 524 separate schools. The teaching staff and management staff are numerous, basically qualified; they have accumulated experience from three regions and inherited special support policies.

The quality of child care and education has many positive changes, the rate of children attending boarding school is high, the rate of schools meeting national standards is 81.6%, higher than the national average rate.

However, preschool education in Phu Tho province also faces challenges in improving comprehensive and uniform quality among regions, such as: The rate of mobilizing children for kindergarten is still low, many teachers are on contract, there is a lack of teachers in non-public facilities, the difference in care conditions between regions, there are many separate schools and temporary classrooms;

In particular, preschools in mountainous and ethnic minority areas need specific policies to narrow the gap and increase the rate of schools meeting national standards.
