| The work of evacuating people from vulnerable areas was carried out very urgently. |
According to the leader of Ba Ngoi Ward People's Committee, at 3:10 a.m. on November 19, a very heavy rain over a large area combined with high tides and water discharge from Ta Ruc and Suoi Hanh reservoirs caused serious flooding, cutting off many residential areas and main traffic routes in the area. Many road sections were flooded from 0.5 to 1 meter high, and some places were deeper. Provincial Road 9 alone through the ward is currently partially flooded at 4 locations with a total length of about 2.5 km, with water depths from 0.5 to 1 meter. Many internal concrete roads in residential areas were also flooded and deeply flooded. The authorities immediately blocked off and strictly prohibited people and vehicles from passing through to ensure safety.
Along with the evacuation, the residential groups and the commune's functional forces are actively propagating and instructing people to stock up on food, drinking water and other necessary necessities. The authorities advise people not to move on their own when they see danger, to find high places in their houses to take refuge, and to prepare means to break the roof if the water suddenly rises; to absolutely stay in place and wait for the rescue force, to avoid subjective mentality leading to unfortunate accidents.
Currently, the ward's loudspeaker system is broadcasting continuously updated news on flood and rain situations, weather developments and prevention instructions at a high frequency so that people can promptly grasp and proactively respond. The rescue and support work for people in flooded areas is being urgently carried out by Ba Ngoi ward and the armed forces, determined to avoid human losses.
