(laichau.gov.vn) This morning (November 19), the working delegation of Lai Chau province led by Mr. Ha Trong Hai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the activity "Forum on cooperation between local authorities of Lancang - Mekong River in 2025 and dialogue of historical and cultural cities" in Dali city, Yunnan province, China.

Attending the Forum from China were Comrade Wang Ning - Secretary of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee; Yang Wanning - Chairman of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and delegates from localities of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar.

The “Lancang-Mekong River Local Government Cooperation Forum and 2025 Historical and Cultural Cities Dialogue” started in 2021 and has been successfully held three times. This is an important foundation for the Lancang-Mekong River local governments to promote friendly relations, construction and development.

This year's forum, themed "Localities create new opportunities together, build the future together", includes the following contents: Opening ceremony; local government cooperation forum; dialogue between historical and cultural cities; exhibition of intangible cultural heritage.

Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee Ha Trong Hai visited the camellia agricultural model of the Tea Production and Processing Company in Dali City, Yunnan Province.

Within the framework of the Forum, delegates participated in activities such as: Visiting the Erhai Lake ecological corridor; visiting the Laisir dairy industry (learning about the development of modern industry) and visiting the ancient city of Dali.

The “Lancang-Mekong River Local Government Cooperation Forum and 2025 Historical and Cultural Cities Dialogue” is an activity to deepen the traditional friendship among the six countries in the Lancang-Mekong River region, promote substantive local cooperation, strengthen “people-to-people sentiment”, and contribute to building an increasingly close community of shared futures among the countries in the Lancang-Mekong River region.
