Promoting the role of organizations

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Do Xuan Hung, Vice Chairman of Phu Loi Ward People's Committee, said: "In previous years, people did not pay attention to environmental protection issues, so they carelessly littered the streets, spoiling the beauty of the streets. In that situation, Phu Loi Ward, with its pioneering role as the Front organization, actively promoted and mobilized people to practice a civilized lifestyle, collect and treat waste according to regulations. Environmental protection work has always received high attention and consensus from the entire political system and all classes of people."

Positive environmental changes

Today, Phu Loi has many green - clean - beautiful streets, contributing to the beauty of the civilized urban ward. Receiving us at the clean and airy office of the neighborhood, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Secretary of the Party Cell of Neighborhood 4, said that there are currently 15 alleys in the neighborhood, which have been assigned to branches, organizations and self-management groups for management. In addition, the neighborhood also has an Environmental Protection Team with 45 members. Every month, members of the Environmental Protection Team will organize environmental cleaning campaigns, remove billboards, plant and take care of trees, etc.

“In recent times, the neighborhood has actively encouraged people to participate in environmental protection, building green, clean, and safe alleys and neighborhoods. To achieve this change, in neighborhood meetings, we have integrated environmental protection propaganda to raise awareness among the people. People in the neighborhood have changed their awareness and created the habit of sending family members to join the self-management team to clean up the streets, alleys, and public areas. People also actively plant and take care of trees and flower streets,” Ms. Anh said excitedly.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nu, Head of the Environmental Protection Team of Ward 5, shared: “To raise awareness of people in the ward about environmental protection, we regularly go to every alley, knock on every door to encourage people to keep the environment clean. Currently, the ward has self-managed roads that meet green - clean - beautiful standards; people's awareness is increasingly improving.”

Up to now, Phu Loi has taken on the new appearance of a civilized and modern urban ward and is one of the typical examples of Thu Dau Mot City in building a model of self-managed residential areas for environmental protection. That result has contributed significantly to improving the quality of life for the people and effectively implementing the content of the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" according to new requirements.

In addition to the promotion of environmental propaganda and training by associations in various forms, Phu Loi ward has also established a Self-Managed Environmental Protection Team in each neighborhood.
