On August 29, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan My Ward (HCMC) launched the ward's Social Security Center.
Mrs. Trinh Thi Hon, 73 years old, living in Ward 3, was happy to receive the gift sent by the Social Security Center. Folding the envelope and putting it in her pocket, she said she would use the money to buy some medicine to prevent headaches.

Mrs. Hon is a single mother, without husband or children, living on social assistance, the love of neighbors and local care programs.
“Now that we have this center, the ladies in the neighborhood say that if there is any urgent problem, they can come here for support. I feel very secure,” Mrs. Hon said emotionally.

Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Ha, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan My Ward, said that the Ward Social Security Center is located at the Ward Public Administration Service Center (No. 4, Street No. 4, Tan My Ward). This will be the focal point for receiving, managing and coordinating social security resources; promptly supporting emergency cases, taking care of the disadvantaged, orphans, etc.
In particular, the center will directly and quickly resolve emergency situations such as natural disasters, epidemics, accidents, etc.; provide long-term care for the disadvantaged, orphans, and youth in difficult circumstances, so that they have more opportunities to rise up, integrate, and develop.
The Center is also a place to unite the strength of the entire political system, member organizations of the Fatherland Front, businesses, philanthropists and the people, joining hands to build sustainable and long-term social security work for the people.

At the launching ceremony, Secretary of Tan My Ward Party Committee Tran Chi Dung said that the Resolution of the Ward Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term sets out the target of caring for and improving the material and spiritual life of the people, including the solution of establishing a Social Security Center.
As soon as the congress ended, the ward quickly implemented it, showing the urgency in putting the resolution into life.
“This is the first step to activate the proposed solutions to continue to be implemented as soon as possible,” said Mr. Tran Chi Dung.
At the launching ceremony, the ward's Social Security Center presented 50 gifts to near-poor households in the ward, each gift worth 1 million VND.
