According to the Report of the People's Council of Tuong Mai Ward, despite many efforts, especially since the two-level government came into operation, due to high population density and unsynchronized infrastructure, littering and encroachment on sidewalks and roads for business purposes are still common. Maintaining environmental sanitation is difficult due to the large amount of household waste, and the drainage system is often clogged and needs dredging.
At the people's markets such as Tuong Mai market, Truong Dinh market, Mo market, and the Southern wholesale market, the situation of waste remaining after trading hours still occurs, causing unpleasant odors and unsightliness. Public parks and playgrounds such as Den Lu Park, Tuong Mai football field, and Tran Dai Nghia children's playground are also often affected by domestic waste, especially on weekends when there are many people gathering.
The government and police of Tuong Mai ward have carried out many general cleaning campaigns and handled violations, but the situation still recurs. This is a big challenge in building a civilized and clean ward.

At the dialogue, voters reflected on the situation of wastewater from car washes overflowing onto Tran Dai Nghia Street, garbage trucks causing pollution, or encroachment of sidewalks with platforms and ramps on Truong Dinh Street, which spoil the urban beauty.
Voters also frankly pointed out places where garbage exists, alleys encroached upon as illegal parking spots, motels with unsafe electrical lines that can easily cause fires, and areas where illegal dumping of solid waste often occurs.
Notably, the situation of garbage trucks not going deep into the alley, not ringing the gong, and having a short waiting time makes it so that many households cannot take out their garbage in time, causing the garbage to accumulate overnight...
The Chairwoman of the Ward People's Committee, Dao Thi Thu Hang, affirmed that she had fully received more than 20 opinions from voters. Many issues were resolved on the spot, such as requiring car washes to move into areas with wastewater collection manholes, working with garbage collection contractors to clearly define collection points... The ward police dispatched officers and soldiers to illegal car parking spots, locations that caused insecurity, disorder, and risk of fire and explosion to handle the situation.

For Truong Dinh street, Tuong Mai ward coordinated with the construction unit to demolish all illegal platforms and ramps, and assigned the Project Management Board to closely supervise before acceptance.
In particular, the Ward People's Committee has requested garbage collection contractors to coordinate with residential groups to announce collection schedules, ring the gong on time, and organize late collection to avoid garbage accumulation overnight.
From the beginning of 2026, the ward will sign contracts with contractors, and people's opinions will be included in the commitment to improve service quality and management responsibility.
