Lee Kang-in had a breakthrough 2022-2023 season with Mallorca with 6 goals and 7 assists in 36 matches in La Liga. It was this excellent form that helped the Korean player catch the eye of the French team's leadership.

PSG have made a €15 million offer for the South Korean international, which has been accepted by Mallorca. Lee Kang-in has also agreed personal terms with PSG and will sign a five-year contract with the Parc des Princes. It is expected that in the next few days, the player born in 2001 will have a medical examination in the French capital.

Lee Kang-in can play well as a number 10, left winger, right winger and even a winger when he played for Mallorca and Valencia. PSG hope that the 22-year-old's versatility will help him adapt well to his teammates, contributing to filling the void left by superstar Messi.

Before PSG approached and reached an agreement with Lee Kang-in, a team playing in La Liga, Atletico Madrid, had been pursuing this midfielder since January 2023. According to Relevo , Atletico Madrid sent a 12 million euro offer for the Korean player but was quickly rejected by Mallorca. The two Spanish teams broke off negotiations last weekend and, seizing this opportunity, PSG jumped in to bring Lee Kang-in to play in France.

Lee Kang-in is one of the most promising young stars in Korean football. He left an impression on the football world when he was the owner of the Golden Ball award at the U.20 World Cup in 2019. The player born in 2001 scored 2 goals and had 4 assists to help the young players of the "Land of Kimchi" to the final of the tournament that year. Lee Kang-in has also made 12 appearances for the Korean team and participated in all 4 matches at the 2022 World Cup.

Coming to PSG, Lee Kang-in will become the third contract of the team at the Parc des Princes in the summer transfer market of 2023, after Marco Asensio and Manuel Ugarte.
