• BUILDING A STRONG "ALL PEOPLE'S NATIONAL DEFENSE POSITION"
For comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc - Acting Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, the visit and work with the Provincial Military Command was like "coming home". Because at this working session, comrade Nguyen Trong Anh Dong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board also announced the Decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on appointing comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc - Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. Comrade Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that, with the assigned responsibility as Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee, "from this moment, you and I are family". Comrade Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that he will strive to build solidarity, cohesion, and close coordination to successfully fulfill the important tasks assigned by the Party and the People.
In the context of the situation in the Central Highlands region having many fluctuations as in the past time, Lam Dong - the southern gateway of the Central Highlands, where many ethnic minorities live, has maintained stability. That is the result of a long process of building a strong national defense. No one can deny that result, but that does not mean we can be subjective or negligent.
According to the assessment of the Provincial Military Command, the strategic area of the Central Highlands in general and Lam Dong in particular still has the potential risk of instability; hostile and reactionary forces continue to step up sabotage activities, dividing the solidarity between ethnic groups,... affecting the task of consolidating national defense, security and socio -economic development. Faced with the requirements and tasks set forth in the new situation, the Party Committee, government, people and the Provincial Military Command need to make more efforts to build a strong national defense, ready to deal with complex situations that may arise.
Regarding this particularly important issue, the Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: The number one task of the Provincial Military Command at present is to build a solid "national defense posture". That is the basis for effectively carrying out the task of protecting the Party, protecting the government and the peace in people's lives.
To make the "national defense posture" in Lam Dong truly solid, comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc requested the Provincial Military Command to simultaneously build: a solid regular force; a strong and widespread militia and self-defense force, and a strong reserve mobilization force, and especially to create a solid "people's hearts posture".
The Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also emphasized that the Provincial Military Command must pay attention to the work of building a clean and strong Provincial Military Party Committee. This requires each cadre and Party member in the Party Committee to be truly "exemplary and representative". He especially requested each subordinate Party organization and especially the head of each subordinate Party organization to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement this requirement.
If any Party organization allows cadres and party members to violate, the head of that Party organization must take primary responsibility for the violations of cadres and party members and be responsible to the Party Committee of the Provincial Military Command. The Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested Colonel Nguyen Binh Son - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, to thoroughly grasp, inspect and evaluate the implementation of this task in each periodic meeting. Because only by ensuring the moral qualities of each exemplary and typical cadre and soldier can the entire force be built, disciplined and elite, and only then can it receive the trust and love of the people.
The military force must always uphold the spirit of combat readiness and readiness to serve the people in all situations. Demonstrate the true spirit and intelligence of Uncle Ho's soldiers, become a solid and trustworthy support for the Party Committee, the government and the people, and contribute significantly to the Provincial Party Committee in overcoming the difficulties and challenges in the current period.

• BUILDING A CLEAN AND STRONG POLICE FORCE
In recent times, the Provincial Police have implemented many drastic and effective solutions to contribute to maintaining security and order in the area. The Provincial Police have also stepped up the fight against sabotage activities of hostile forces and reactionary elements, ensuring absolute safety for delegations of leaders, former leaders of the Party and State, and international delegations visiting and working in the locality, political, economic, cultural, social, and tourism events... of the province. Proactively and synchronously deploying effective campaigns to attack and suppress crime, preventing the formation of hot spots and complications in the area... With a firm grasp of the situation, doing a good job of assessment and forecasting; the police force has proactively advised the provincial leaders to have specific, practical instructions, and ensure effective implementation, maintaining stability throughout the province.
Regarding the achievements of the provincial police force, comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc said: "That is one of the basic conditions for socio-economic development of the province".
However, the Party Committee, government and people of Lam Dong are currently facing huge challenges. Therefore, the Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that, more than anyone else, the Provincial Police force must be aware of the advantages, difficulties and challenges facing the province, so that they can make more efforts and determination to complete their tasks well. And the most important issue at present is "Building a clean and strong police force", the Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized.
Working with the provincial police force, comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc paid special attention to the task of preventing and combating corruption and emphasized that in order to effectively carry out the fight against corruption in society, first of all, the police force must be truly "clean".
The Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee stated that the Director of the Provincial Police Department is responsible for thoroughly understanding and closely inspecting the implementation of this task. If corruption and negativity occur in the Provincial Police Department, the responsibility of the Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Provincial Police Department must first be considered.
He also requested the leaders of the Provincial Police to uphold the responsibility of the leader, be exemplary, resolute, match words with actions, promote collective intelligence in self-inspection, detection and handling of corruption. Strictly handle cases of violations, negativity, acts of corruption, cover-up, tolerance, abetting corruption, interference and obstruction in the prevention and fight against corruption.
He believes that only by preventing and fighting corruption well within the Party can a “clean” police force be built and can the police force fight corruption in society according to the functions of the People’s Public Security Force be able to do so. And only by building a truly “clean” force can the police truly be the “shield” and “sword” to protect the Party, the State and the People.
The fact that the Acting Provincial Party Secretary directly worked with the military and police forces right after assuming his new position demonstrated the comprehensive concern of the head of the provincial Party Committee for the "two arms" of the Party. That encouraged the spirit, creating great motivation for the officers and soldiers of the two forces to continue to make efforts and strive to successfully complete all assigned tasks. Comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc also specifically requested the two forces to continue to join hands, unite, unite, coordinate, stand shoulder to shoulder, create a combined strength, keep the locality "warm inside, peaceful outside", and continue to develop sustainably.
