Promoting Quang Nam tourism in Sydney (Australia)

This activity was jointly implemented by three localities: Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue, on the occasion of Da Nang City organizing an investment - tourism promotion conference in Sydney.

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Dang Thang - Consul General of Vietnam in Sydney; Mr. Robert Kok - Deputy Mayor of Sydney City and more than 50 guests representing airlines, investors, tourism - service businesses, press agencies in Sydney and 27 other countries. tourism units and businesses of 3 provinces and cities: Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue.

At the event, the tourism industry of the three localities introduced destinations, tourism products and services, tourism stimulus programs, events and festivals; introduced impressive films of the “Wonderful Heritage Land”; organized a connecting space (B2B) for businesses of Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue to meet and exchange with businesses and partners in Sydney city.

On this occasion, the Tourism Promotion Center of the three localities of Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue signed a memorandum of understanding with the Western Sydney Tourism Association on enhancing cooperation in advertising, promotion and exchange of tourist resources between Central Vietnam and the Western Sydney Tourism Association in particular and the state of New South Wales in general.

The delegation also had a meeting and worked with Western Sydney International Airport to discuss plans to open a direct flight from Da Nang to Sydney in the near future. This is a great opportunity for Australian and Vietnamese tourism businesses to cooperate and exchange customers.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam added that after promotional activities in Melbourne and Sydney (Australia), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam will join the two localities of Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang in coordination with Vietnam Airlines to organize a famtrip and presstrip delegation of 15 Australian travel agencies and press to the locality to experience and survey the actual destinations and tourism services of the "Wonderful Heritage Land" scheduled for December 2024.
