(QNgTV) - Thien Tin Commune Police, Quang Ngai Province said they have just discovered a case of transporting animals out of the area without an animal quarantine certificate.

Previously, at about 3:45 p.m. on July 23, 2025, the Thien Tin Commune Police Task Force patrolled and discovered a car with a license plate of Quang Nam province driven by Nguyen Dang Hieu, born in 1991, currently residing in Nghia Tay village, Dai Loc commune, Da Nang city, transporting 29 pigs through Tan Hoa village, Thien Tin commune, Quang Ngai province to Da Nang city. Initial verification results determined that Nguyen Dang Hieu bought the pigs from people in Ba Dong commune, Quang Ngai province to transport to Da Nang city.

At the time of inspection, Nguyen Dang Hieu could not present the animal quarantine certificate in accordance with regulations. The working group explained to Mr. Nguyen Dang Hieu the legal regulations when transporting animals from epidemic areas out of the province. Mr. Nguyen Dang Hieu saw that transporting pigs without animal quarantine certificates was a violation of the law, so he arbitrarily returned the pigs to the seller, and the seller committed to preserving the pigs while the local veterinary agency took samples for quarantine.

The commune police have made a record of the incident, continue to verify and handle it according to the law. The authorities recommend that people strictly comply with the law on animal quarantine when buying, selling and transporting.
