Today (April 28), Quang Ninh province held a conference to announce the Department, Sector and Local Competitiveness Index (DDCI) in 2022.
Attending the conference were Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province Nguyen Xuan Ky, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province Cao Tuong Huy.
Also attending were Deputy Secretary General, Head of VCCI Legal Department, Director of National PCI Project Dau Anh Tuan, along with over 600 entrepreneurs, enterprises, and business households in the province.
Accordingly, in terms of departments and branches, the Quang Ninh Customs Department continued to hold the top position for two consecutive years with a score of 85.5. Ranked second was the Economic Zone Management Board with 81.26 points. The next 3 positions in the top 5 have changed: Department of Justice (72.9 points), Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (67.88 points) and Department of Industry and Trade (67.9 points). The Department of Health was at the bottom of the list with 49.45 points.
This is the 8th year that Quang Ninh province has implemented the activity of assessing the competitiveness of departments, branches and localities (DDCI).
In the local block, Mong Cai City leads with 70.35 points. Coming in second and third place are Ha Long City with 70.8 points and Binh Lieu District with 69.90 points, respectively.
Hai Ha district ranked 4th with 68.45 points and Cam Pha city ranked 5th with 67.13 points. Dong Trieu town ranked last with 48.53 points.
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province Nguyen Xuan Ky emphasized that this is the first time Quang Ninh province has organized a conference to analyze in-depth the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) in combination with announcing the 2022 department, branch and local competitiveness index (DDCI).
Thereby, there will continue to be sustainable improvement solutions in the coming time, aiming to build an honest, creative government that serves the people and businesses, and operates effectively and efficiently.
