Quang Ninh welcomes nearly 50,000 cruise ship tourists

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the past 6 months, Quang Ninh welcomed 35 international cruise ships, carrying nearly 50,000 cruise tourists, an increase of 25% over the same period.

Tourists come from many markets such as the US, Germany, UK, France, etc., some other European and American countries, Japan, China, etc. Cruise tourists coming to Quang Ninh have many options and experience a variety of tourism types: visiting Ha Long Bay, exploring Ha Long City, enjoying coastal cuisine , using high-quality services at resorts; visiting Yen Duc village (Dong Trieu City), learning about traditional cultural features of ethnic minorities, etc.

Cruise tourism usually peaks from September of the previous year to April of the following year. However, this year, although it is already summer and not the peak season for cruise tourism, Quang Ninh is still a favorite destination for many cruise tourists.

It is expected that on June 10, Ha Long International Passenger Port will welcome the Piano Land ship carrying 1,000 tourists from Hong Kong, China.

Continuously welcoming international cruise ships even during the summer months gives Quang Ninh the opportunity to promote the development of cruise tourism all year round, making an important contribution to the province's goal of welcoming 4.5 million international visitors a year.
