On the afternoon of July 22nd, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien inspected the progress of the investment project to build National Highway 15D, the section from My Thuy Port to the Cam Lo - La Son expressway.
According to a report from the Quang Tri Department of Construction, the National Highway 15D project has a total length of 92.5 km, connecting My Thuy Port to the La Lay International Border Gate. The project is designed as a Class III and IV road (2-4 lanes). Specifically, the investment project for the construction of National Highway 15D from My Thuy Port to the Cam Lo - La Son Expressway starts at Km0+00 at My Thuy Port and ends at Km20+500, intersecting with the access road to the Cam Lo - La Son Expressway. The total length of this section is 20.5 km (including sections 1 and 2), with a total investment of 1,940 billion VND.

Section 1, from My Thuy Port to National Highway 1, is 13.78 km long; Section 2, from National Highway 1 to the intersection with the access road to the Cam Lo - La Son Expressway, is 6.72 km long. This is a completely new route, with no old roads, and the terrain in the area through which the route passes consists of plains and low hills. It intersects with the North-South railway at Km13+802.
According to preliminary design survey data, the project will utilize approximately 73.5 hectares of land; of which, about 14.9 hectares will be rice paddy land, 50 hectares of production forest, and 8.6 hectares of other land types. The route passes through the communes of My Thuy, Vinh Dinh, and Dien Sanh; 33 households in Vinh Dinh commune and 32 households in Dien Sanh commune will be affected and require land clearance.
During a field inspection at points along the project route, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien emphasized that, given the large volume of work and short project implementation time, relevant departments, agencies, and localities need to actively and proactively carry out their assigned tasks in the coming period.
Vice Chairman Le Duc Tien basically agreed with the project design plan and assigned the Department of Construction to mark the boundaries of the land clearance area; he also instructed local authorities to guide people in declaring their assets before carrying out the land clearance steps and to ensure that no additional land clearance work is required.
Regarding support and compensation for land clearance, Vice Chairman Le Duc Tien directed that priority be given to using existing resettlement areas to ensure that people can quickly stabilize their lives when the project is implemented.
