On the afternoon of July 22, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien inspected the implementation of the National Highway 15D construction investment project from My Thuy Port to Cam Lo - La Son Expressway.
According to the report of the Quang Tri Department of Construction, the National Highway 15D project has a total length of 92.5 km, connecting from My Thuy Port to La Lay International Border Gate. The project has a scale of grade III, IV roads (2 - 4 lanes). In particular, the National Highway 15D construction investment project from My Thuy Port to Cam Lo - La Son Expressway has the starting point at Km0 + 00 at My Thuy Port and the end point at Km20 + 500 intersecting with the access road to Cam Lo - La Son Expressway, the total length of the route is 20.5 km (including sections 1 and 2), with a total investment of 1,940 billion VND.

Section 1 from My Thuy Port to National Highway 1 is 13.78 km long; Section 2, from National Highway 1 to the intersection with the access road to Cam Lo - La Son Expressway, is 6.72 km long. This is a completely new route, without the old road and the terrain of the area the route passes through is plains and low mountains, intersecting with the North-South railway at Km13+802.
According to preliminary design survey data, the project has a land area of about 73.5 hectares; of which, rice land is about 14.9 hectares, production forest 50 hectares and other types of land 8.6 hectares. The route passes through the communes: My Thuy, Vinh Dinh, Dien Sanh; Vinh Dinh commune has 33 households and Dien Sanh commune has 32 households affected and must clear the land.
During a field inspection at points along the project route, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien emphasized that with a large amount of work and a short project implementation time, relevant departments, branches and localities need to be proactive in carrying out assigned tasks in the coming time.
Vice Chairman Le Duc Tien basically agreed with the project design plan and assigned the Department of Construction to mark the area of land clearance; assigned localities to guide people to declare their assets before carrying out land clearance steps and ensure that there is no increase in land clearance volume.
Regarding the work of supporting and compensating for site clearance, Vice Chairman Le Duc Tien directed to prioritize the use of available resettlement areas to ensure support for people to soon stabilize their lives when implementing the project.
