Vietnam Seed Fund awards scholarships to poor students overcoming difficulties in Tuyen Quang

Comrade Phan Van Hung, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Comrade Le Thi Thanh Tra, Vice Chairwoman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Council awarded scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties.

Attending the program were Mr. Phan Van Hung, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Seed Fund; leaders of the People's Council of Tuyen Quang province; leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang province; representatives of sponsors, family representatives and new students receiving scholarships.

The "Vietnamese Seeds" scholarship project has been implemented by the Vietnamese Seeds Fund, Nhan Dan Newspaper and Techcombank (the fund's founder) since 2024, with a total amount of 1.5 billion VND awarded in 6 border provinces with many difficulties including: Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang (former Ha Giang ), Lao Cai, Cao Bang and Lang Son. Each year the project is implemented in 2 provinces.

In 2025, the Fund will continue to award 25 scholarships to new students who are children of poor households and ethnic minorities in Tuyen Quang province, with high exam scores and are admitted to universities and colleges. Thereby, to encourage and motivate the spirit of overcoming difficulties and excelling in their studies. Each scholarship is worth 10 million VND.

Leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang province and sponsors awarded scholarships to family representatives of poor students who have overcome difficulties.

Speaking at the program, comrade Phan Van Hung, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Viet Seed Fund, said that the Viet Seed Fund is a social fund under Nhan Dan Newspaper. The purpose of the Fund is to support individuals with excellent academic results; assist and award students with high achievements in national and international competitions; help teachers teach well, talented students continue to develop, support students with difficulties; sponsor the construction of high-quality cultural, professional and vocational education facilities.

After 13 years of establishment, the Vietnamese Seed Fund has awarded hundreds of gratitude houses and hundreds of savings books to families with meritorious services to the Revolution, families affected by natural disasters, families in especially difficult circumstances in many provinces and cities across the country and nearly 3,000 scholarships to poor but studious students.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Seed Fund, comrade Phan Van Hung hopes that everyone will open their arms of kindness, contribute, and join hands to continue accompanying the Vietnamese Seed Fund so that more and more young talents, many poor but studious students can be supported to go to school, have the opportunity to realize their dreams and ambitions, as well as families in difficult circumstances and the less fortunate have a better life in the future.

The scholarship awarding activity in Tuyen Quang this year continues to affirm the profound humanitarian significance of the Vietnamese Seed Fund. This is a timely source of encouragement, helping poor new students, especially ethnic minority students, to reduce difficulties when entering university and college; at the same time, it adds confidence and determination for them to strive to study, become useful citizens for society and contribute to their homeland after graduation.
