Comrade Tran Trung Hieu - Secretary of Duc Trong District Party Committee reported at the meeting: 2024 is the year to focus on promoting solutions to strive to complete the targets of the Resolution of the 13th District Party Congress. Specifically, 12/15 socio-economic targets have been achieved and exceeded compared to the Resolution. State budget revenue as of December 3, 2024 reached over VND 1,217 billion, reaching 84%. Maintaining a good growth rate in economic sectors (agriculture, forestry and fishery reached VND 8,985 billion, up 6.69%; industry and construction reached VND 5,785.5 billion, up 11.39%; trade - services reached VND 8,050 billion, up 10.39%). Agriculture develops in the direction of applying high technology (13,546.66 hectares, an increase of 2,134 hectares over the same period), focusing on developing OCOP products (currently 37 OCOP products, of which 7 are newly recognized products and 2 are re-recognized products, it is estimated that by the end of the year, there will be 7 more products, bringing the total to 44 products, an increase of 9 products compared to 2023).

Regarding the leadership and direction of the preparation for Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th District Party Congress, Comrade Secretary of the District Y Duc Trong said: Being closely and regularly directed, ensuring quality and progress compared to the plan and in accordance with the direction of the Central and the province. In particular, the district issued Plan 228-KH/HU dated September 16, 2024 on the basis of implementing Directive 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo, Plan 135-KH/TU dated September 9, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee and held a conference of key officials of the whole district to thoroughly implement. Pay attention to perfecting sub-committees and working groups for sub-committees to implement the contents of the congress's direction. In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc - Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: 2024 is a year when Lam Dong province in general and Duc Trong district in particular face many difficulties and in that general difficult context, Duc Trong has many advantages in many aspects, from infrastructure, natural society... However, in the past year, Duc Trong still has many shortcomings and limitations. Therefore, Comrade Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that Duc Trong district needs to seriously and substantially evaluate. From now until the end of December 2024, the targets that have not been achieved or not achieved need to be tried their best; at the same time, it is necessary to review and clarify who is responsible for those unachieved targets? In order to review and clarify the situation, build the 2025 plan correctly.
He requested the Secretary of Duc Trong District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Committee to review what has not been achieved, what has been achieved, and re-evaluate 2024, deploy the 2025 plan specifically, identify each goal and task, in the spirit of breakthrough and must be implemented resolutely, without hesitation or half-heartedness in direction.
The Provincial Party Secretary also said that there are many problems that have existed in the district in the past, and in 2025, the district needs to set out requirements for resolution, such as the situation of complaints at a number of projects. The district must focus on resolving them to the best of its ability within its authority; for issues beyond its authority, it must coordinate with the province to resolve them together.
Regarding forest management and protection, Duc Trong district must strictly follow the directive spirit of "Must preserve forests and plant more forests", not only this year and next year but also in the following years and in the long term. Duc Trong cannot let the forest cover reach only 32 - 33%.
He also emphasized: The work of evaluating and inspecting grassroots Party organizations and Party members needs to be evaluated correctly, with the percentage achieved being evaluated accordingly, without controlling the percentage of good or excellent completion.
"One of the key tasks in Party building and organization work is to correctly and substantially assess the quality of grassroots Party organizations and Party members. Do not control the ratio without substance. Localities must thoroughly grasp and properly implement the direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. This is a key point in Party building and personnel work," the Acting Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.
Regarding the preparation for the Party Congress, he emphasized that one of the requirements for the drafting of documents for this congress is that the documents must be short, concise, easy to remember, and easy to implement. At the same time, the Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested that Duc Trong district, in the process of formulating goals and tasks for the coming time, must be specific; the implementation process must be done seriously and correctly, in the spirit of accelerating, breaking through, closely following the directions of the Central and the province for implementation.
“We need to look straight at what needs to be done and what needs to be innovated. First of all, the Secretaries and the Standing Committee must set an example, must strive, make efforts, and be determined to join hands and unite to build Duc Trong to develop in line with its existing potential and advantages,” the Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee directed.
