Launching Lexus IS 500 Climax Edition 2025, from 1.69 billion VND

Lexus Japan has just introduced the limited edition Lexus IS 500 Climax Edition. This is the final variant of the IS compact sedan with a naturally aspirated V8 engine.

Lexus has just officially launched the special limited edition IS 500 Climax Edition 2025 - the model marking the end of the IS sedan line using a naturally aspirated V8 engine.

This is not only the final special variant of the Lexus IS, but also a solemn farewell for those who love the pure driving feeling from the traditional V8 engine.

The car has 9 paint color options, but the most prominent is the new gray color Neutrino Gray, along with personality tones such as Heat Blue and Radiant Red. The Lexus IS 500 Climax Edition is equipped with 19-inch BBS aluminum alloy wheels, finished with a personality matte black surface.

Comes with a high-performance Brembo braking system, including red-painted 6-piston calipers and 380 mm diameter front brake discs, providing optimal braking performance for a sports sedan.

The interior of the Climax Edition continues to express the sporty spirit with a two-tone red/black leather-wrapped F Sport steering wheel, special gearshift knob and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster with a graphic interface specific to the Climax Edition.

Although largely digitized, Lexus still retains an analogue clock with exclusive dial patterns, as a way to preserve traditional values ​​for nostalgic customers.

The car seats are covered with red and black Ultrasuede/L tex material, harmoniously coordinated with the dashboard and door panels also using high-quality Ultrasuede material.

Red seat belts, centre armrest and side steps all feature the Climax Edition logo, while bespoke floor mats are accented with red piping.

Powering the Lexus IS 500 Climax Edition is still the 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 engine, code 2UR-GSE, producing 481 horsepower and maximum torque of 535 Nm.

This power is combined with an 8-speed SPDS automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. In the Japanese market, the Lexus IS 500 Climax Edition is limited to 500 units, with a starting price of 9.5 million yen (about 1.69 billion VND).

Previously, Lexus USA also introduced the IS 500 Ultimate Edition - a limited edition of 500 cars exclusively for the North American market. According to the plan, Lexus will officially stop producing the IS 300 and IS 500 lines in Japan from November 2025, ending an emotional chapter with the IS sedan line equipped with a naturally aspirated V8 engine.
