Launch of the "extremely unique" Mercedes-Maybach S680 Emerald Isle, only 25 units

Mercedes-Maybach has just launched the new S 680 Emerald Isle version, inspired by the Californian seascape and with extremely limited production numbers.

This special edition super luxury Mercedes-Maybach S680 Edition Emerald Isle has a two-tone exterior, the body is in Manufaktur Moonlight White Metallic combined with the upper part in Manufaktur Mid Ireland Green Metallic.

This influence is evident in the two-tone exterior, which combines a Manufaktur Moonlight White body with a Manufaktur Mid Ireland Green body. Mercedes says the latter pays tribute to the Monterey cypress trees, while the former pays homage to the white sands of Pebble Beach.

Along with the two-tone paint, the car also features shiny chrome details. These are combined with stylish 21-inch Champagne Flute alloy wheels with a two-tone look.

Special touches continue inside the cabin, which is lavishly appointed with hand-stitched Manufaktur Light Brown Nappa leather as well as a diamond-quilted black Nappa leather headliner.

Buyers will also find Manufaktur Black Piano Lacquer Flowing Lines trim, special door sill plates and an “Edition Emerald Isle 1 of 25” badge on the center console.

The carmaker has also teamed up with artisans to create a unique scent for the special edition, which is diffused by the Air Balance system and is said to have hints of cedarwood, cypress and sea salt.

This ultra-luxury sedan is equipped with the Executive Rear Seat Plus Package, which includes two individual rear seats separated by a full-length center console. These two seats are equipped with folding tables, comfortable rear seat lumbar pillows, a refrigerator and champagne flutes.

Power is provided by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, producing 630PS and 899Nm of torque. This engine is combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Thanks to that, the 2,425kg sedan can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 4.6 seconds.

Only 25 of these Emerald Isle ultra-luxury cars will be sold in the US market, and they will be available at dealerships this fall. Pricing has not been announced, but the base model starts at $240,500.
